Ok, this has been nagging me for a while: SP's with traditionally male names.

Logan, Eliott, Parker, names like that make me reluctant to book the girl. Yes, I realise that in English grammar, there is technically no gender. But growing up with other languages that do have gender denomination, it's something I can't shake. In my brain, girls need to be called Sonya, Cassandra, Megan, Genevieve, or Bianca. I don't seem to have an issue with the name Taylor, for some reason. Maybe it's due to all the porn stars that used the name. :D

Maybe it's vestigial homophobia, maybe I'm thinking too hard on this. Does it bother those of you who speak only English? How about the other polyglots out there?

Naw, doesn't bother me a bit. I don't book by her name, I book by her body and services.

But if she called herself one of those "ghetto" names like Brisandrinia or ?? No way....

Here's a list of the idiotic names people are using these days:

No dude, like Tboy said you are doing her not her name.

If I were a sp I wouldn't see a guy with the name as dreamblade. Too dreamy :whip: :na:

LOL! Like I said, it's a silly hangup, but it's there. I too would shudder to think what a girl named "Bubba" would look like.

You asked for it

Logan is fine because I've already played with her! LOL

Parker (Parker Stevenson)
Elliot (Elliot Spitzer)

You can call the lady whatever name you wish, it's not gonna matter an hour later.

I'm with you Dream, I'd hate to scream out "suck that cock faster Roy" even though Roy might be a beautiful woman it still would not sound right!

lol that was fricken funny dude...roy.....

I tell you though, some of the asians do pick silly (IMO) names:

Bebe, Coco, CeCe, CaCa, PooPoo, DeeDee, Phawn (????), SaSa, Villi (???), and the best so far? YoYo......as opposed to slinky or Mr Potatohead....lol....

The cross gender names (Logan, Parker, etc) don't matter too much but, all things being equal I would probably book a Britney before a Parker.

That being said, when I caught sight of a review titled "Thetank and Mrs. Tank with Elliot Jameson @ indy", my initial thought was that Mrs. Tank was getting the better end of that deal. In fact, I don't think I actually bothered to read the review. Hmm, maybe I am slightly homophobic.

That's funny. To my french ear, Parker and Logan are very girly names. Maybe because the only Parker and Logan I've ever known were women. And hot too.

But then again, it wouldn't be the first time that I find gender bending to be hot.

The only names I stay away from are my mother's name (Debbie), ridiculous names like Nana, Coco, Yoyo (I realize that some of these names are Asian, and these kind of Asian names which sound ridiculous to us are like Jennifer and Ashley to them) and of course my own name.
There is actually a very highly-reviewed SP working at RM with my name that I've been tempted to book, but it would be too weird. Ten Shrute bucks (or Stanley nickels) for the guy who figures it out

I actually think the methodology (if there is one) behind a SP choosing her name and whether it's a factor in a particular guy choosing to book a session with her versus a smiliar SP but with a different name is interesting. There's a lot of SPs with obvious (to me) stripper names like Amber, Britney, Mercedes, Monique, and I'd be interested, in an academic capacity, to find out other whether when these SPs were starting out, and they didn't have any regulars or reputation, whether they got bookings purely based on their names
For example I would have never thought that Chloe would be a hot name, but after seeing Chloe Croft a few times, I can't look at any Chloe I meet in my civilian life the same way. Same thing goes with Simone

PS I would also never book a SP with my grandmother's name (Doris)

The are a lot of fairly common predominantly female names that were actually originally predominantly male names. Kelly, Ashley, Alexis, Jocelyn...

.

I have no problem with cross gender names but I would be extremely reluctant to book a Brandy or a Britney . The names evoke images of spoiled brats .

I couldn't care less of the names because I can't remember them in the allowed hour .
