The Assassination of Good Threads by lock up

Morpheus open the thread, don't be a pussy. Get you finger off the ban button after all you wouldn't ban a female member just before Christmas would you?

In a heartbeat, my dear.

The thread has been reopened. Maintain civility and be respectful or I'll become Scrooge again and close it.

I once started a flame war thread here to spice things up and the only one joining the fun was Robin,, who I would also entertain but only if he came to see me in full costume!

... the red board was attacked by DDoS - something we don't need to exploit for traffic imo...

Perhaps, but it deserves no sympathy, either. Their advertisers, yes. The board and all of their non advertising members, no.

The tone and the words that were used to describe you were harsh, especially as you seem like a good guy. But you do need to examine the sentiment behind the words. You have not given "a" good review of your ATF on the three boards. You constantly interact with her and refer to the good times experienced and to come. Your choice of course, but those are undeniable facts. It gives the impression of promoting, has a counter productive result, and gives what I think is the wrong impression of what appears to be a sincere guy.

bolt.upright is a stand-up guy, even though I've never met him. If you think he's a shill, have the stones to say it, don't hide behind innuendo. What is the source of your credibility? Can you provide us with links to your reviews?

Giving a personal endorsement in The Lobby to two Escorts with whom he's repeated isn't shilling, not when both of them post here. They can match a face with his handle and avatar. We can't do that with you.

You forget not all of us celebrate Christmas and some of us enjoy a good serious debate. Locking up threads with serious topics as Bob's eluded too waters down the board in my opinion.

I don't know which one you're speaking about, JessieJames. Maybe it's been unlocked, and reopened before I knew it was locked. Quite often the locked period is just a snickers break for everyone.

It really depends on the woman. I have always gotten along much better with men than women. I find women very catty and easily threatened.

If I make a lot of money from commercial use license sales of my new font, I will attempt to coax you out of retirement, Reverse, even if I have to travel to do it.

That's assuming that's it's you in the avatar, of course. If that's someone else, I'll try to book both of you, together, and you could speak on her behalf, if necessary, if you aren't hot, in my opinion.

I'd pay you each the same amount, of course. I'd value the work equally.

Have I told you lately how much you rock?

Jacklyn, I admire your spunk and I think SP's can make for great mods especially retired ones.*hint* *hint*

You fail to understand that I attract a fair amount of clients because of my personality on the boards. It is only natural for those same men to banter with me in discussion, as often that is how our interaction started in the first place. It is not unethical for a man to flirt with his ATFs on board, IMHO. Now, if you just do not like to see it because I am not your "type" that is just a shame, for you. So what if he, or any other man, gets excited about their next visit, or their last? Why would that bother you so much? If you don't like it, don't read it.

Jacklyn7, you have one huge weakness on boards: You assume that someone is talking about you or to you, specifically, when you are not quoted, or mentioned by name. People who are looking to attack you, for any motive, will always exploit this weakness, and they will have support from others like them.

It's like if a baseball player can't hit a curve ball. Word gets around that he can't, and he sees only curve balls, until he gets demoted, to learn how to do it, or traded, if he can't learn it.

Of course he was referring to you obliquely, we all picked up on that. He didn't say it to you, though. That would have required courage.

If I'm in a crowded room, and someone yells "Hey scumbag", I don't turn my head, to see if he was talking to my back. I wait a few seconds, until another guy does that, and then I just watch.

If you follow threads he was talking directly about me, and how someone who has seen me interacts with me across the boards. I was assuming nothing. But thank you for your input, I do realize that certain people love to use the red herring tactic of, "but I did not name you directly" as their defense when subtly bashing a person. Sadder still, it seems to work... but enough of all this, it is boxing day and I gotta get my sexy ass ready for work!

I don't understand people who get upset over anything that happens on a message board. It's like someone who gets upset about the adult entertainment industry who doesn't participate in it. If it's not for you, go do something else then....but don't mess it up for those who do want to participate. Nobody is forced to walk into a strip club, massage parlor or incall location.....so what's the problem.

If you don't like a thread, post or poster, ignore them and move on. There are people on here who's drivel I find uninteresting...but I don't put them on ignore, I just pass over their posts. Isn't this what adults are supposed to do? I thought only children get all bent out of shape over name-calling and what have you...."sticks and stones" and all of that. Let's all be mature and just move on past the stuff we don't like.

Well said.

You need to treat each post separately, Jacklyn7. Know the Troll's tactics. It's like playing 'Simon Says'. It's like the hockey player who slashes a guy when the referee's head is turned, hoping the ref will see the retaliation.

Your advantage is that Trolls have limited strategies, that the mods will allow. They can't attack you directly, but they can make you think that they did. Don't think of the Troll as a person, think of him as someone who wants to irritate someone, for fun. He looks for someone who will take his bait. Don't let emotions cloud your judgement with a troll. don't answer him immediately. That's his game, to get you upset.

If you're angry at a post, read a different thread for a while, go back, and read it as if you were someone other than you. Think clearly, look for his weakness, and exploit that. He'll move on, if he gets a good slap.

Trolls look for weak opponents, and want their targets to have their decisions clouded by emotional reaction. They want to make you look silly, because you have overreacted.

You defeat the Troll by not playing his game. He'll move on, and heckle someone who didn't read this post. If he crosses the line, Morpheus will cut him a new one, but if he stays on his side of the line, it's up to you to do that. If the mods are biased, you get 'friendly fire' casualties, like me, on the red board. Somebody 'felt I meant' something, because they didn't understand what was being said, so they assumed it meant whatever they wanted it to. The mod acted, not because of what was done, but because of someone's emotional reaction to something they assumed was about them, kind of like you've been doing.

The whole problem is the term BBW. It suggests that every woman who isn't thin is lumped into one group, to boost the self esteem of the obese, by including them in a group to which they don't belong. That's like saying there are two types of people, the mentally challenged, and people with normal intelligence. That benefits the people who are slightly below average, by including them with highly intelligent people, but someone who's on the other side of the line is lumped in with the people who can't feed themselves. That's the dark side of political correctness; building self esteem through self delusion.

The whole idea of arbitrarily assigning individual people to any group is the problem. Don't assign yourself to a group defined by someone else. If the value of your company is worth more than the value of the paper money it costs, you'll get business. If it's not, you won't. If you overreact, people watching might not want to find out which is worth more.
