The Guvernment night club will close it's doors for good tonight.

I had great times there from it's early days as "Fresh" and "RPM" during the early 80's in the "New Wave" music era, great music and memories.

I was going to give you a hard time on your spelling but now I can't, bad boy!

Is The Guvernment the one near the waterfront, lower Church St., or Jarvis, or somewhere around there, or was that another club? Is it the same as Kool Haus, or is that another club? One of those places is an older building, with a concrete floor, and the spectator area is wider in the direction of the stage, than it is from the stage to the back wall. I saw Rancid and The Cramps at the one with the concrete floor. I saw Nick Lowe at another venue, that had modern decor, and the stage was very high up from the floor area. Does anybody know which clubs I'm talking about?

I think the concrete place is/was Kool Haus and the high stage place is The Guvernment, when it was still RPM. The time period for those shows was about 1990-1994, and I didn't see any other shows at those venues. Can somebody enlighten me, on where I was those nights?
