Cancer claims another victim... :frown:

Mark Dailey, 57, dead from cancer... Dailey's signature was the often-heard, continually mimicked but never duplicated station slogan: “CITY-TV. Everywhere.”

What a shame, I enjoyed his news segments. He seemed as a down to earth individual.

I was very sad to hear that Mark Dailey passed away. He was the voice of this city.

+100000 to all the above. I didn't even know he was ill as I don't watch cityTV much anymore since moses left.....it's just not the same.

I like his sense of humour, his mannerisms and his approach.

He truly was "the voice of the city"......

At first I thought this was a mistake. I was away so I didn't know until now. Unbelievable. This disease puts out too many bright lights. May Mark RIP.

His voice lives on....

Yeah, it's really weird to still hear his voice on CITYTV......still, I like that the new station owners are letting them run on as tribute.

I agree, his voice should always be part of the station.

I get the feeling he would have liked that.

I know there are not a lot of Tour fans here... but on the last day of the 2010 Tour de France, Lance and his entire team decided to raise awareness for this deadly disease, and donned their LiveSTRONG "28" jerseys...

The point of the jersey is to bring to forefront the approximate 28 million people living with this horrible disease on a daily basis. Unfortunately the team was told by tour officials that the jersey's were not allowed, and they all had to change BACK to the regular Team Radioshack jerseys... this caused a delay in the start of the 20th stage... and in retrospect, probably gave them even more publicity as a result!

Team Radioshack won the TEAM prize and during the presentation, they all wore their "28" Jersey to the Podium.
