Actually, you couldn't be more wrong.....don't even try to go there. I've got over 20 yrs experience and some of my friends have sailed around the world so......only complete idiots, novices and those looking to commit suicide have that attitude.

An experienced person will know: you don't beat the sea, she beats you.

Born by the Ocean, Friends and Family Sail around the world. Come from a Navy back ground and military too, Lawyers, teacher.
Also have been in gales. We had a Sail boat not a dingy. Sail inthe Pacific too. Whatever tboy, I am learning you are always Right. I guess me doing it does not count, so why argue with you. Puget Sound etc :neutral:, Caribbean. So I don't know anything really. They are a few who like to try the impossible at times, not just sit and write on the computer.

I say "prove it". Get any one of those people you listed to send me photographs of them going out into a storm and I'll eat my words. Getting caught in a gale is a shit load of difference between purposefully going out into one with no good reason.

Getting back to names maybe I will stay with blissful, a few people have stated a few interesting reason and pm me. So I think blissful is it.
