This is why police chases should be avoided.

Condolences to her family.

The chase came to an end when the subject's vehicle collided into another vehicle at Griffin Road in West Broward. The other driver, a woman, was ejected from the vehicle and was later pronounced dead on the scene. "It's tragic," said Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel. "Our hearts go out to her and her family and the people in Miami-Dade County that got hurt."

The only good news here is the idiot no longer breaths the same air as the rest of us.

The fact she was ejected from her car seems to indicate the victim wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

The slo-mo graphic appears to depict the victim in a Mercedes, which one would assume is equipped with both seatbelts and side impact air bags.

Obviously something went wrong there.

At that rate of speed she would've been dead a split second after impact. Look how much of the engine compartment of the SUV is inside her vehicle. The seatbelt and side air bags would've been useless at protecting her and most likely got sheared off from the impact.

:SayWhat?:

I gotta say I am a bit shocked by this statement. I don;t know Art, it just seems to be a little insensitive and victim blaming. I am wrong, right?

Not blaming the victim, Ms.FemmeFatale.

Just surprised that she was so vulnerable in an automobile whose manufacturer brags it's one of the safest on the road. Obviously not in this situation.

Here's where I feel the blame correctly belongs:

The title makes it sound like it's the fault of the police. Maybe the title should be...

Stop Breaking the Law Assholes, You're NOT Going to Get Away and You're Going to Hurt Some Innocent Family.

Agreed.

What are you talking about?

I read it a certain way, and asked to clarity. He answered, it is all good.

Relax a little. There as no ill will meant.

Lions get cranky, come on lets go over to my special place and see what cranky papa has prepared for breakfast this morning.

Art,

They are considered the safest at normal driving speeds. Extreme speeds over 80 MPH very rarely are survivable without some kind of injury or even death.
