OTTAWA — With a federal election almost certain, Canadian taxpayers will once again be footing the bill for their right to vote.
Elections Canada could not provide a projected price tag on an election if one were held this spring, but if past votes are an indication, it won't be small.

We should be thankful to have elections every few years, it's one of the few ways we have to keep them slightly honest. This parliament wasn't working, it's time for a fresh mandate.
The money spent doesn't get flushed down the toilet, it's circulated within the country. At least we don't have the massive costs like the Americans have, our upper spending limits keep it in check.

Precisely the problem! They ALL run virtually the same campaign... which is: "Don't vote for the other guy/ girl- he/ she is an asshole!"

And their platforms are virtually the same too... which is: "We are going to take your money and spend it on whatever we dam well please!"
