Be careful out there.

A man whose two pitbulls attacked and bit an escort he had just robbed has been sentenced to 18 months in jail after being convicted of assault and theft.

Quebec Court Judge Nathalie Fafard said Fabian Bourghart, 49, “acted irresponsibly, without concern for the consequences.”
“Dogs are unpredictable animals that could have caused injuries even more serious,” Judge Fafard said, noting that the dogs had bitten others and were the subject of “at least two” euthanasia orders the accused ignored.

Court was told that on Nov. 1, 2014, after consuming drugs and alcohol, Bourghart booked an escort, and apparently grew irate when she asked for a second glass of water after undressing in his Montreal apartment.

When he pushed her down and started hitting her, she got up to leave and offered to repay his $200. Instead, he snatched all her money, followed her outside, grabbed her by the face and then called his dogs, who bit her several times on the legs while she waited for her driver, who ended up taking her to the hospital.
The woman is now unemployed, depressed and requires medication, court was told.

Fafard said her injuries were significant and the accused’s actions gratuitous and exaggerated.
Both dogs were euthanized after the incident. As part of her sentence, Fafard barred Bourghart from owning or keeping any dogs for three years.

Not a bad idea to keep a dog in your apartment or take him with you.

Wow this is awful! All I can say is I'm so glad she had a driver who was able to pick her up and take her to the hospital. I would never feel comfortable doing an outcall with someone on any substances or that had "dangerous" dog breeds. Yes it's not the dog's fault, but you have no idea who trains their dogs to be attack dogs, and who trains them properly.

He should have a lifetime ban on owning a dog, not just 3 years. I hope she sues him and gets everything he owns.

CHarlotte, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

back to the thread- This maniac should be shot

A man and a woman from Quebec are facing a string of charges after they allegedly held an escort captive while they ransacked her apartment and stole money, jewelry and clothing worth an estimated $55,000.

According to police, a woman working as an escort was in her apartment near The Queensway and Windermere Ave with the female suspect on July 7 when the male suspect entered the room and held a knife to her throat.

Police say the male suspect then taped the female victim to prevent her from escaping while he and his accomplice ransacked the apartment.
Lia Genest Matte, 22, and Gaensly Dazulme, 29, were arrested on July 16.

The pair are both facing a number of charges, including armed robbery and forcible confinement. Dazulme is also charged with disguise with intent.

"dangerous dog breeds"!!! nothing angers me more than when statements like this are repeated. DOGS aren't dangerous, IRRESPONSIBLE OWNERS ARE!!!! A lab or golden retriever has a stronger bite, than a pit yet if those dogs were labs or goldens, I bet their breed wouldn't have been mentioned nor a request for euthanasia ordered! I'm sick of people shitting on specific breeds.A dog is a dog, they all can bite!! The guy was a fucking ass and should be jailed and banned from EVER owning an animal period! The dogs who were trained by this fuck up and acted on his command and they are the ones who pay the ultimate price, just so very very wrong.
Sorry to go on, but I'm very passionate about pits and have been around them for years as has my sister, a veterinarian, and neither of us has EVER had a problem with them. They are lovely, loving, intelligent dogs who are easily trained and obey readily. Put ANY dog in the wrong hands and it'll become problematic, they all can bite!! I'm educated enough about dogs I feel to talk about them and please don't mention a pit's lock jaw, because thats crap and a wives tale, no such thing. There are many dogs, stronger, that aren't considered dangerous yet the pit, time and time again is blamed for being a "dangerous" dog. The African mastiff, the Boerboel, has a bite force stronger than a lions, chew on that!

My most dangerous situation was when I was held at knife point with another escort by a guy who felt he should get to "do" what he wanted as many times as he wanted. At that time I worked for an agency and that owner didn't want the police involved. We were left to handle the situation ourselves. The police ended up coming, we believe hotel security called them.Another reason I prefer being independent. No matter where you work or for who, at some point we all and unfortunately meet an ass or two......excuse the pun:)

Wow

I have nothing against the dogs. I wouldn't trust a man inviting me over as an sp though if he had something like a pitbull though sorry. You kind of need to know the person first to know how the dog is trained and if you will be safe or not. When I was a little kid my sister and I went to visit a friend with my mother, a pitbull was in the house and immediately ran at my sister who was about 4 years old at the time and bit her right on the mouth and tore her lip up. She didn't do anything at all the dog just attacked her. I still remember hearing her screams when we took her to the hospital to have stitches. Unfortunately accidents happen however unintentional and I'd rather not take a risk seeing someone with big dogs in their house that I don't know.

Charlotte you don't have to apologize for your opinion, you had a bad experience and for that I'm sorry, but please know any dog could have done that,in your situation it just happened to be a pit. Perhaps this isn't a good comparison, but, if a woman were raped by a man, should she always be fearful of ALL men? If you are going to be concerned at visiting a gent with a dog, then be concerned that he has a dog, not a particular breed of dog. Your comments just perpetuate the misunderstandings about many dog breeds, which gets many innocent and wonderful dogs killed, simply because of their breed. Believe me, I wouldn't stand up for something that was dangerous, nor would I speak about something I hadn't a lot of experience with. It's a shame we don't give guns or other "deemed" weapons, the same type of discrimination. When someone shoots and kills someone they don't ban guns, when someone kills someone while driving a high performance car they don't ban fast cars..., when some poison some with arsenic or other substances they don't ban those either, and all these someones doing the actual killing aren't "destroyed either in Canada and in most cases murder gets jail time not death, yet we ALWAYS kill the dog! Wheres the sense! Dogs don't JUST bite or attack, something causes that and in your case something did happen it was just missed, either to quick of a motion, running in, noise, etc, etc, etc, many things can alarm a dog, especially a dog that hasn't been trained right or one with fear issues or aggression issues. With dogs it's fight or flight. Like us they all have their own personalities, some more dominant than others, some more withdrawn, some more fearful. A good owner can work out any issue with time and patience and the right training technique. But to often people blame behaviors on "it being a bad dog" or because it's a 'particular breed" which is very seldom the case the issue almost always is at the other end of the leash, yet and again that idiot doesn't pay the price the poor dog does!
