I'm looking for a new bike, here is one (not this exact one, same year and model) that I can get a good deal on. What do you think? Yay or nay? Pros and cons? What would you get? Sport bike is NOT an option.

a 1 first 5 questions I am going to ask you are How long have you been riding, how long have you been riding, how long have you been riding, how long have you been riding, how long have you been riding?

Depends what you wanna do with it. What do you have now, or did you have in the past?

I'm way past my sport bike stage (actually never really had one).

I just posted a couple of pics of my bike in another thread. It's a sport-touring bike, a bit of a compromise in that it's not as fast as the sport bikes as not quite as comfortable as the cruisers (so I've been told). What it does have is luggage space, the ability to go on some pretty rough roads (even off-road with the right tires) and a comfortable passenger seat. I like to do a few weekend or longer road trips each year, sometimes off the beaten track, so my bike suits me well.

I know a lot of guys like the cruisers. I was just in a charity bike run and 90% of the riders were on a cruiser of some sort.

Sorry I can't tell you if the Valkyrie is a good bike, but it certainly looks pretty cool.

And how long since you last had a bike and rode regularly?
Jesus has a good point. That's a pretty big machine. If you haven't ridden in a long time, you might want to start with something a little easier to handle.

The Batprick picked up a new bike before filming the new movie

He's really a fat fuck!

Now this one is mine

I'd say that going from the gixxer to that fat pig if a Valkrie will be a bit of a learning curve but.... if you like it then go for it. It's not my style of bike but I'm not the one riding it.
Personally I think that bike would be like the old joke about mopeds and fat chicks.
They can both be a lot of fun as long as no one catches you riding one.

Hey! Even pigs need lovin'.

Cruisers aren't my thing but that Valkyrie looks hawt.

I'm in the market. My penis says Ducati Monster but my back says Yamaha TMax

ok, here's my take (since you asked)

I'm a purest by heart and don't like gimmicks....now with that being said, there are a LOT of custom bike builders who build really cool cruiser/sportys. THis one?

LOOKS RETARDED and I'd laugh my ass off at anyone riding it. Here's why:
1) I generally don't like a japanese cruiser bike because they are just imitation harleys and I don't like imitation anything
2) It looks like someone saw an anime movie and built a bike from what they saw in the cartoon
3) It looks like what a design art student thought a cool cruiser should look like......oops, it ain't...it looks like something a rockabilly japanese would like...
4) the front end looks like it hit a brick wall, way too pushed in (and i bet it handles that way too).
5) a co-worker asked me about those can am 3 wheeled snowmobile "bikes" and I said "only fags and hags want one of those"......since that is all they are, snowmobiles with wheels and (no offence) I could see Freddie Mercury on this one, dressed in his village people biker outfit with the ass cut out of his leathers.....

Don't know how much it's worth, or what the price is, but you would NOT catch me dead on that thing and if there was a draw for 5 of them, and they only sold tickets for $10 and only sold 5 of them, I wouldn't enter because when I won, someone might see me next to it....

Sorry, the fucking thing is U G L Y

Now one of these, ok.....

or one of these:

and especially, one of these...(which will be my next bike)

I like an armchair bike.... a touring bike, big saddle, full fairing, no bugs in my teeth thanks... but I'm too old to fall off a bike... I still have my M, but I doubt I'll ever ride again..

sob

I'll take a nice European sports car over a bike any day of the week.

Really tBoy? I think it is an extremely sexy bike, and the price being asked for it is quite good. I love the bike in the link, but $65K is NOT in the budget.

Well, there are also people who find obese people sexy......there are also people who find a grown man shitting in a diaper sexy.......and need I remind you of all those "walmart" customer photos who find what they are wearing sexy......oh, and back in the day, there were people who thought wearing a big alarm clock around their neck was "cool".............just food for thought.

Just so you know, that bike is like the middle aged guys who buy zondas...they scream "look at me look at meeeee"........where my tastes go more along the lines of a BMW 850, a bentley coupe, etc....I'll take class over bling any day of the week......
