To tip or not to tip...

That is the question.

Does everyone do it? What's the etiquette? If I do tip when and how do I do it?

does everyone give their honorarium in an envelope? ( I read a review that said that he did it that way, and now I'm wondering if I've been doing it wrong)

Thoughts?Hmmmmmm

I usually leave a tip afterwards. It does it have to be extravagant but I do like to show my appreciation for effort. Don't need to make a big deal about it, just leave it with your donation or on the table if you gave it beforehand.

As far as envelope its a good idea. Count your donation beforehand (twice) and put it in an unsealed envelope. When the time comes you're organized and don't need to fumble with your wallet.

ALWAYS!!

As for tipping, only on return trips. The fact that I came back speaks volumes about our initial session. I think SP's find the best compliment is your return trip, at least that's what they tell me.

I personally like to bring a gift that is specific to the lady. It shows that I've put some thought in to it rather than reaching in to my wallet.

Not all guests tip. The ones that do leave an impression:):wink2: A tip is a way of thanking your companion for providing you with a memorable and wonderful date. Base your tip on a percentage of what you pay her, imo, and on how much you liked the date. I think giving it at the end of the date is nice, since with a regular client, I often don't count the $ until after he leaves, and if a tip is included I'd then miss the opportunity to thank him. But I understand that $$ is dear for some and a repeat visit can be as nice, if not nicer than a tip:)

Tipping always gives you a good return from any profession.

Only if service is top notch, I leave $25.

But keep in mind if a lady charges 300 hrly, that might not be thought of as you thinking her service top notch....since a decent tip for a good waitress is 20% some might think that fair for providers as well, so 20% of 300= 60$. If she charged 200 hourly 20% would be 40$.

Anyone want to comment:)

You have 5's in your wallet?

I rarely tip on the first visit. As I said, my return trip is clear indication that I will be a regular and then I come bearing gifts. My gifts are usually $50+ in the form of a gift card or something specific to the lady; lingerie, alcohol, something to do with a hobby of hers....etc.

I think if I were to tip cash, it would be somewhere between $20-50.

This is very helpful. thanks everyone!

On a few occasions I've had the urge to tip, but when I make the move to, it always feels so awkward. Tbh, I'm like this at the barber too. If it a restaurant, I can leave 20% on the table and bounce. But, if I have to reach into my wallet and had a person money it just feels so odd to do.

i think gift cards or something like that at the start of a return visit sounds like the most comfortable choice. (For me at least) ...id love an SP's thoughts on this.

I like to tip before the session begins. Usually throw in a green one and make sure they know about it :-Cool/" Trust me YMMV jumps up 50%.

@Suresuresure, first, thank you for wanting my opinion:) I'd want my client to feel comfortable, for him to do what comes naturally to him and when he leaves, to have 0 regrets. So do whatever makes you feel comfortable. That is what is attractive about some people, they're themselves and all they do reflects that. That being said, some might not appreciate you being you, but isn't wonderful finding the ones that do and they are all that matters:)
I've received cash, donations to animal charities, food, wine, jewelry, clothing, shoes, and more, and what is the nicest about all those gifts is that someone thought I were special enough to be given anything:)
Sometimes kind words are as nice as any amount of $ or any gift.....sometimes:)

How do you let them know that there's an extra $20 in the envelope? I feel like no matter how I said that it would sound idiotic coming out of my face.
"...and there's a little somethin' extra in there for ya sweetheart. (Whispers) TWENTY DOLLARS (winks and saunters to the shower)"

@cristycurves Thanks for your response! But, can't help but feel like maybe you're being super nice and not everyone is as sweet as you.

@Suresuresure, no believe me, if you read through some of my posts, you'll see, I say what I feel and I'm grateful that is encouraged and allowed here. I'm not one with a need to sugar coat anything:)

I like your opinions on animal cruelty. An exGF is vegan and an activist against cruelty to animals, I didn't know to what degree until we were stuck on the highway during long weekend traffic and a livestock truck was in the lane beside us. To her credit, she kept her stress internalized for some time until she couldn't take it anymore and asked me to either pass it or pull off. Obviously I couldn't pass it because of the traffic, so I pulled off to the shoulder and she explained to me (whilst in tears) that the pigs on that truck had no idea they were being driven to their death. We had a long conversation while she calmed down and I understood and appreciated her views more that day.

It is very sad the cruelty we allow towards other species yet denounce and criminalize when it happens to us Hmmmmmm
