TORONTO - Police say they need the public’s help to identify a suspect who mugged a 91-year-old woman Sunday as she entered a Kensington Market apartment building using a walker.
Toronto Police released security footage Thursday that shows the suspect following the woman into the lobby.
“He pushed her and grabbed hold of her purse,” police said in a press release. “He wrestled the purse away from her after a brief struggle.”
The suspect is described as white, about 20 to 25 years old, with short black hair.
He was wearing a black T-shirt with blue shorts and a white backpack with black material or pattern.
Anyone with information is asked to call the 14 Division major crime unit at 416-808-1406 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
