Maybe her ideal is a gay guy who hasn't quite come out of the closet? I don't envy the road she must travel.
.
Once we choose a road we take it.
If the road proves too difficult, we can backtrack and choose another.
But if the road chosen brings us to where we want to be trudge on.
Not complain that we choose a difficult road.

I'll be honest. I find the whole transgender thing to be confusing and I have a hard time understanding it. I try to accept it though. I helped my son analyse the lyrics to the song Take me to Church. We had a lot of fun decoding the lyrics. Apparently is about homosexuality, but in our analysis, we took it one step further and said it was about loving a transgender woman and being ostracized from society and religion because of it.

The coldness and lack of empathy in this thread is sad, anyone who is part of a group that is marginalized should be treated with understanding, not sarcasm and insults. Transpeople face many hardships and are scrutinized continually, I can't imagine having to face each day with such struggles. Nature dealt them a difficult hand, we should all want to reach out with kindness not meanness. Concerns over transgender rights must be addressed and corrected – Betty Unger, Alberta Senator

where is the empathy for straight men who constantly come under attack from the left for being attracted to natural born women?

copy and paste an example of this poor marginalized straight man, who is being constantly attacked for liking a straight woman, please:)

one of the biggest copy and paster here is attacking me for doing the same

Lol, how was my post an attack. I asked you to copy and paste an example of your man that is always attacked for liking a straight woman. And btw we all copy and paste, the difference between you and others who do is that they do not *always* use their pastes as their opinions and neither do we assume it as being *always* right information. Copy and pastes are another's opinion, evidence, studies, etc. Without knowing their source and background, it is wise to use it but not to rely on it as absolute truth/proof or anything else, which is what you always do. And once again, may I suggest personal experience as being anyone's best teacher. So maybe you could post a personal example of you being attacked for liking a straight woman, if you are in fact a straight man:)

why should i copy and paste something you are not going to read?

Ahh, good excuse.....well then instead of copying and pasting again, why not give an example you've personally experienced............

^ Why should any of us want to escape them? People are people, and we all deserve the same freedoms and rights. Who is it hurting if we change titles, names, or something that will be inclusive to all instead of omitting some? Imagine if you were part of a group not included in anything, and that there was never a place for you, imagine......
Adapting in a world where still too many marginalize because they feel the only way to exist is to be straight, married and monogamous, must be very hard and cause a lot of self doubt . I mention the two latter, because most who get their panties twisted about gays, transgenders, and others who are unlike their idea of the norm, are often of the thought process that only men and women were meant to be coupled and coupled for life. They're the "biblical types", and those types often puzzle me, because they preach their Christianity as being about love and kindness, yet they're always pushing away those unlike themselves and condemning them to their "hell".

Please stop with the transphobia.

I'm a strong supporter of the trans community and the woman is a SHE and should be referred to as SHE/HER/A WOMAN.

Also stop with the over-obsession of the trans woman's penis as if you think the only feature that defines a person is their genitalia. That's just dehumanizing to the extreme. Most trans women are not comfortable with their genitalia so stop bringing it up.

Trans women are WOMEN they are not gay men.

Heterosexual cisgender men are not systemically oppressed. Trans women are. You will never be underprivileged if you are a cis het white man attracted to cis het women. You will never be harassed on the streets, beaten by a friend, or get fired from a job because you are a cisgender heterosexual man.
