I downloaded this great free app on my smart phone today at www.trapster.com

As you drive your smart phone will warn you about upcoming speed traps, photo radar, accidents based on the members logging in. It works pretty good and with today's insurance rates and the cops trying to boost up their quota's we need to have some way of fighting back.

PLEASE don't give me that do not speed shit... they are ticketing people for going 10 to 15 over while the insurance companies are rubbing their hands with glee!!

It doesn't tell you where RIDE is set up from what I've seen. I think RIDE spot checks are important. They actually could save lives where as the radar traps I feel are a tax grab for the city and the insurance companies.

Thanks MM, looks like a great little app. I can't afford for my insurance premiums to go any higher. I was pulled over at Albion and Weston Rd. last week. The Officer was hiding in the ravine and popped up out of no where. He told me I was going 12 km over but that he would reduce it to 10 so I wouldn't lose any points. I was polite and thanked him but if he knew what I was really thinking he would have arrested me. :bs:

One question, how much of your data plan does it eat up as well as the battery life on the phone??

Yes it does use your data and battery life. If you are not driving make sure you disable GPS and turn PATROL off!!
