Made with Love

what car options can't you do without?

or they have one of those hokey things that stick inside one of the cup holders...then you lose a cupholder (and you always need extra to hold the empties).

My 150 has 6 in the front seats alone lol (2 in the centre armrest, 2 in the pull out cubby under the armrest, 2 in the doors) they must think contractors drink a lot lol....
6 is one for each beer or pop

Coffee in the morning them we contractors do water followed by wanting to go home

Ya... but,

Ya... but,

As for cg's suck: I can do the same thing, AND take the cooler with me inside the job site.

Can you do this...

yup......could do that AND pull a 11,300 lbs trailer and seat 6 adults comfortably.......

K... you got me there... but your truck uses a lot more gas! LOL

yeah and put 6 adults and hook up an 11,000 lbs trailer and you would burn a lot of gas and not move a foot......:drunk:

Plus people don't look at it and say "wtf is that"? lol....

Good thing I only have 5 adults and a 5,000 lb camper then eh!

You two slay me. I fit my backpack, tent, and all camping gear that I haul on my back for a week in the back seat of a Saturn, can still fit a second person, and can get there and back for under $40... and that is with $1.20 gas prices!

Can you get a trunk monkey who will help you pedal or does he go in the pannier?

and when you have to haul 40 sheets of 3/4" plywood, where does it go?

And yeah CG, good thing you don't have a "real" trailer too (poke poke poke)

Toy truck (err suck) and toy trailer = perfect match!

(5 adults? your kids grow up in the last week? I'm talking contractor sized adults, if you're talking teen girls, I can fit 4 in the back seat....wait, let me rephrase that lol)

Navigation system, heated seats, power windows, AC and last but not least handling and power!!!!

Hope I'm not asking for too much!

Oh man, a buddy had a truck with "bun warmers".....the ladies LOVED it.....(not to mention my back after a long day on the job site).

those bum warmers are showing up in even cheaper cars these days, I think the elantras and soon have them standard in the gls or something like that saw it at the auto show.

No I dont have one but speaking of gas, rates at 42/58 (thats mpg for you young guys)

what engine u got in that 150 tboy a 5 l ???(more likely the 6.2 eh?) 5l rates at 21/29
cgs suck is actually rated at 20/29. Dont know what that means real world for you guys tho.

As for what I need
something with enough head room for my big ass and bigger head.
As for options, air conditioning is a must have thanks. I have kinda grown partial to steering wheel mounted radio controls.

ah, my '09 5.4L has 320 hp and 390 lbs ft of torque plus 20" aluminum rims with nitrogen charged pirelli scorpion rubber...arf arf lol....unloaded on the highway I get about 13/100.

But if I look to the next truck I'd be interested in the V6 Eco boost with twin intercooled turbos at 349 hp and 420 lbs ft of torque PLUS 10L/100 Km fuel economy....

But then again, I'm looking at a roush supercharger for my 5.4L that would give me an extra 145 hp and 143 lbs ft of torque.....enough to pull a house, or a stubborn tree trunk.....

the 6.2L with 411 hp and 434 lbs ft of torque would be fun, but not THAT much fun lol.....

wasnt sure what year it was so didnt have the right fuel stats.(used the new 2011 book)

you would have that that the suck would have done better dont you think? 250 hp and 247 lbs from a 3.5 v6 thats a 14.1 and 9.8 /100km rated.

ahhh quick conversion.....13 is about 21.5 mpg not bad for a truck. Used to drive a grand cherokee but the gas mileage was tough to get used to after a bunch of 4 cyl cars. Am kinda looking for a new vehicle but with gas passing 1.20 a L and not coming down anytime soon, my cheap scottish nature is making me look 4 cyl again. Besides the 4 cyl s have come along way lately.
(I just make sure I have friends with minivans and pickups that dont mind me borrowing lol)

lol yeah, having a full sized pickup does come with disadvantages...re: helping people move GRRRRR

Someone asked me to help move once and I said: I have NO health coverage, if I hurt my back doing something for free, who is going to cover my lost income? So I said: I'll help load, but I ain't lifting or carrying anything.....(I have a herniated disc already, don't need another!).

They are doing a lot with smaller engines these days in terms of performance, but you have to wonder: what about durability? See with a big V8 that's been around for decades, you never have to push it to its limits. Like that ecoboost with 349 hp....that's a LOT out of a small engine. I know the europeans have been doing it for years, but like the Evo, with it's 1 litre rocket engine, it has to be serviced EVERY month.....I know if I just change the oil regularly in my truck, I could get 3 or 400,000 kms out of it easy.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against puddle jumpers. Hell, if I could get my hands on a decent MG I'd be bombing around town in that (hence why I have a 1.2 L bike). If I was looking into something other than a truck? I'd be looking at the Ford Fusion. Damn those things are F I N E fine....but the Jetta has been a good runner and you can't go wrong at $15K, That's a decent car for the money.
