So surprisingly, I do agree with you, that Communism as a governing system, and Communism/socialism as an economic system could work.

Been happening since the Roman empire and before. A dictator tells you what to do and you do not have much of a choice but to follow. Still to find a Communist leader that can lead with reason. Gorbechov was decades ahead of his time.
