Yup...it was all good there today....a bit long wait, but the chatting with BR was great and we were outside on the patio...a nice afternoon. She is such a sincere and nice lady. I will support her a bit when I can out there.
I mentioned a possible group lunch with "dessert" down in Bayshore after and she smiled and , with a wink, she said she'd be happy to handle those details

There was mention of a cerb patio beach party there in June. (I think) I have not heard anything else about it and I am guessing it is a no go?

It is a nice big patio...they're just getting going, but they have plans for Fri nite BBqs etc....and the "Tomahawk" ...a dinner for 2 that features a 40 oz steak....3 courses....it is quite nice inside too

BTW, she mentions that her manager for the place is a Cerb member named "Lone Skater", has anyone ever PM'ed him over there or anything?

One interesting bit of trivia, Veronica has two businesses on Carling, Luna West on 3049 Carling, and now this restaurant at 4049 Carling! They are exactly 1000 addresses over from each other! Get dinner at one, get desert at the other. /-Thumbs-up::/

BR, Loneskater organizes the cerb socials. He used to it with misterT until he moved to Montreal. The last two socials have been at the restaurant, as will future socials. LOL.

First she saw Hector, and then she looked around and saw me, and her mouth dropped.

Imagine the look on her face if she saw 7 guys that she's seen under different circumstances! It's likely everyone has seen her at one time or another.

I wont be there either...I'll probably regret it, but I have a tee time tomorrow, and while it wont rain, it may be on the cool side.....
Did YOGA with Monique this am, and went over to Gladstone (Annie) around noon...golfing @ 3....heck of a nice day!

Hector, my condolences for you having such a stressful day!!! Seriously though, glad you're enjoying your life, as I always say that from the day you're born, everyday after, that you're alive and healthy is a bonus. Live each day as if it were you last, as you never know when the last will be.

Hector, my condolences for you having such a stressful day!!! Seriously though, glad you're enjoying your life, as I always say that from the day you're born, everyday after, that you're alive and healthy is a bonus. Live each day as if it were you last, as you never know when the last will be.

You got that right....I'll never forget the day, at age 52, when the Dr told me I had Lung Cancer........but "I think it is operable"....whoooosh....had a lobectomy and survived.....

Wow you lucked out big time as lung cancer doesn't have a great survival rate. A life long friend of mine has that, and initially the chemo and radiation seemed to be working, but he's not doing too well now and in lots of pain. I too had cancer and figured it was the end, but had the prostate removed and luckily I got it in time as it hadn't spread outside of it, only being in the centre. That's 14 years ago and if you pass the 5 yr mark then you're considered cured. Sometimes you get lucky in life with your health, but also getting lucky in other ways is good too...lol

My father-in-law has the lung cancer right now too, that was actually the main reason for doing this "vacation" I recently did. So really, the vacation was a bummer in all manner, the least of which being me getting sick during it. They started chemo, but he's really got so many complications from completely unrelated other problems getting in the way, that it's getting like a game of wacko-mole: don't know which disease to tackle first.

Sometimes you wonder if the treatment is worse than the disease, as it can be beyond terrible with the side effects. He has the type of cancer than tends to go to the brain, so they do radiation to the brain and the effects are pretty bad in so many ways. So often you hear of people who find out they have had cancer for quite a while, and never knew it, and are told they only have a few months to live. The sad reality of life is that the older you get, the greater the odds that you'll get something failing.

I was very lucky, as the only reason they found it was that I insisted on an Xray to sort of celebrate my 10th anniversary of quitting smoking....and poof....there it was...a pear sized tumour in my upper right lobe.....out came the lobe, and with it, the tumour.....like the yolk inside an egg....it had not spread at all....no chemo or radiation....just 5 years followup, and now annual visits.....early days was the key...1 or 2 years more and I'd have been coughing, spitting up blood, and it would have also been in my brain, kidney, liver, and see ya later...........

.....out came the lobe, and with it, the tumour....

CONGRATULATON!!! no chemo!! just annual check up's. My sister had cancer on one breast, like you, they got everything out in one operation, n chemo, just one pill per day for 1 year and yearly follow up.

Medical technology at its finest as not all that long ago, they couldn't diagnosis or treat things like that with the success rate they do now.
So many people never go for checkups, which are the key to finding something early. In fact those same people take their cars in for checkups to find problems more often than they do for themselves. We have free medical care and yet some still don't go.

Considering it was the size of a pear, you're one lucky guy that it hadn't spread by then. It was the most important x-ray you ever had!
