Hiya folks...

I am in the curious position of having to webmaster a new website for someone. Unfortunately I know just enough to get it all screwed up, so I'm looking for online information on how to set it up.

I'm going to be using Dreamweaver, but right now I'm mostly concerned with how to configure DW and how to configure the domain nameservers, etc.

If you know of a good basic tutorial on this, I'd be glad of your help.

Thanks

Shouldn't you just hire a geek/technician to do it for you?.

Costs a few dollars but you will have time to do other important things.

Dreamweaver is quite easy to use...been using it for a decade. There's a good set of tutorials online or in magazines and books, and you'll get the hang of it in a couple of hours of playing around. Google "dreamweaver tutorial" and dig around. It's worth a couple of hours of experimentation. And cheaper than gettign someone else to do it for you.

Listen to the doc.

Thanks Willy...as soon as Danolo pays his bill, the referral fee will be in the usual place behind the dumpster. Not inside. That's Madman. Won't make that mistake again. :blush2:

Thanks guys...I'm confident I can pick up DW fairly easily. The thing I'm battling right now is the settings on the host... and he's examining it and will fix it soon...

My problem isn't DW, its the hosting settings. My guy at my host is great and he will doubtless fix it for me, but I still won't understand the steps taken to activate a website on a given host...

I dunno, I've always misunderstood the process.. the use of nameservers, the path settings for an FTP tool and so on.

If you know of a clear concise tutorial on that subject , I'd be a happy camper.

Doc, your bill will be paid in the usual currency...

Here's a sample:

Any SP or MPA that looks like her?.

Yes, but I'm not telling. She's mine, ya hear, all mine!!!!

There used to be one in Markham facially and body type identical to Marika Hase, but considerably larger breasts (not a bad thing). She retired a while ago, but I had the pleasure of seeing her for a couple of years. Still brings a smile to my face (and reactions in other parts...)
