Wow, thats total rent of £105,000! Which was big money in those days.

But ridiculous terms have interesting effects. Actually if the landlord wanted to earn 5% simple annual interest, he would have been better off to SELL the property for £946 and if Arthur thought that was a reasonable rate, he would have been better off to buy for £944.
