Well said HOF. It only takes a little effort to make a big change, just don't expect it overnight. If the average person cut out one burger, fry, or fizzy sugar drink per day and walked just a little bit more, the pounds come off at the rate of one a week or two. That adds up. Fad diets and crazy exercise schemes don't work reliably and long term. Just modify your daily habits and the weight can be controlled.
I love Coke. But I compensate by walking more. Personally, I can't stand the aftertaste of Zero or Diet, finding the artificial sweetners leave a bad aftertaste (even with a shot of lemon juice to kill the aftertaste), so I gladly walk a few extra blocks, enjoy the air and tranquility, then pop the Coke can.
