Let's say the family is away and you have a weekend to do what you want. I for one will not call anyone and go to a high end restaurant by myself and then catch a movie solo. Maybe stop by the Brass Rail and have a few drinks and watch the action. Then on Sunday watch sports all day, yes alone. Sometimes one needs to escape from people.

If it's the summer I'll tee up a couple rounds of golf with guy friends, or invite them over for beers and BBQ on my deck.

Let's say the family is away and you have a weekend to do what you want.
How do you guys spend time when family is away?.

No SO or kids, if I have nothing to do I write Python iterators [50% performance gain] for free as in freedom Python code. It encourages me to go on dates, or go to SCs (1 crawl a month though).

Meh, my life is better than it sounds in this post though. I like not writing iterators though...
