What Former Sluts Tell Their Daughters About Sex

There is no such thing as a slut.
Like the Loch Ness of sexual types, the slut has been allegedly spotted for centuries but never caught and studied. Who is she? What is she really all about? How does she operate? She is a woman who has sex "a lot" — though we can't seem to define "a lot" — and for the wrong reasons — though it's unclear exactly what those are.

Entire thread is a fascinating read.

I find the women who have had a lot of partners and not regretted them one bit to be the most fascinating, because that's my philosophy too. "Slut shaming" is usually done when one woman does it to another, and it only works if you're embarrassed by it. The ones who have a fully positive attitude towards sex (not just a partially positive attitude, where you like it in secret, but not in public), can't be embarrassed by slut shaming.

Isn't there an escort an Barrie called Madonna??

There used to be a Madonna who happened to be the mother of Jesus. How did that become a name synonymous with sluts, I don't know. :blush2:

BTW, what's the boy equivalent of sluts anyways? Players? Douche Bags? Etc.?

There is indeed. And that lovely lady just happens to have a thing for the musician named Madonna, hence her choice of working name.

Don't know about the BBBJ skills of the musician, but you'll be singing "holy mother of jesus" if you're in Barrie for a meet and greet with lovely Madonna.

Yes, but it's unlikely they'll advise their daughters it's okay to be promiscuous.
There will be some hypocrisy for parents and they might get called out on it by their children.

Actually, no I disagree, the ones with the most positive attitudes don't advise them against it. Here's an example from one of the comments in the blog:

I'm one of those unicorns who has had what I would consider a pretty large number of partners and very few regrets, I guess. I regret a few of them because things didn't work out as I'd planned but that was usually a situation of me not being right for a person I was in a relationship with. I rarely regret a one night stand because I used them for what they were - an excuse to get off and maybe have some fun - and didn't expect anything more.

I know some women (and men) regret these things but I don't. I have plenty of experience and learned what worked for me. Turns out I have a very high libido and I need a partner who feels similarly. My number of partners is not something I'm ashamed of. My fiance knows that I've had far more partners than he has and he doesn't care. It doesn't squick him out. My libido doesn't freak him out. And while I'm much happier in a committed relationship for a variety of reasons, I don't regret my past.

I would tell his daughter (in the not so distant future as she's 8) or any future daughter of ours that sex is something best done when you are ready and you know what you want out of it. I would also say it's best to start off with someone you know really well but I would also actively teach that slut shaming is not okay. I don't think you have to say, "It's okay to fuck a lot of people". I think you can teach "slut acceptance" in a million other ways. I would basically do what my parents did with me which was freak me out just enough to realize how important the decision to have sex was from a physical and emotional view but also let me know it was *my* decision. I was a late bloomer (21 when I had sex) but I was fully prepared for it!

I can't be the only one, though.
I think the secret here is that she started late, and was more mature when she started and so was already prepared for it. I was similar to her, I started late, and I already had an idea of how to handle it maturely.
