Well, to be fair, it's sort of true. Doing well in school gave me options. But I've learned that doing well in life has far more to do with character, integrity and interesting personality. That's why I'm making a point of travelling more and making sure my kids will have a broad perspective of life. Living in one little corner of the world leads to very narrow thinking (and really nothing interesting to talk about at cocktail parties )
