What the fuck is it about 20 year mark?

Well, got news last Monday that someone very close to me is getting a divorce after a 19 year marriage. Last night, a friend of mine told me that a mutual friend has left his wife after 21 years of marriage.

Mine ended after 22, brother's ended after 24 years, another friend ended after 18 years, and so on.

Why do you suppose that is? It seems like that'd be the exception rather than the norm.
