Oral and Anal aren't positions.

These are some of the less obvious reasons why these positions are preferred, per "Dr Flash":
Doggie: Preferred by many men/ women who would like to pretend or fantasize that they are doing it with someone else. For the guy, when doing it with a butterface or double bagger; for a woman, when the guy is physically or mentally unappealing.
Missionary: Allows the mouth and loins to be connected simultaneously. The physical attractiveness of both partners and their oral hygiene will determine whether or not the lights need to be turned off. Upside down missionary can work if the guy is heavy but well hung, and the woman is a spinner.
