I got a new Espresso machine with grinder and all the goodies. I am a medium to dark roast kind of guy but willing to try just about any good coffee beans.

What do you normally use and can you recommend ones that you've heard is worth buying. Money is no object when it comes to coffee.

Thank you.

If money is no object, you might as well try these ones:

Elephant dung coffee Black Ivory becomes world’s most expensive brew

Trumpeted as earthy in flavour and smooth on the palate, the exotic new brew is made from beans eaten by Thai elephants and plucked a day later from their dung. A gut reaction inside the elephant creates what its founder calls the coffee’s unique taste.

Stomach-turning or oddly alluring, this is not just one of the world’s most unusual specialty coffees. At $1,100 per kilogram ($500 per pound), it’s also among the world’s priciest.

KImbo or Lavazza....good choices.

But how does it taste?
“Very interesting,” she said, choosing her words carefully. “Very novel.”

My favourite is Etiopia Yergacheffe, small grain coffe with a bit of sour taste and nice aroma. I like it medium roasted.
Kona is considered one of the best coffe but right now it little over my budget but one day I'm gonna try it

Go to Boxcar Social, tell them what you like and ask for a tasting flight. If you have time do some beer pairings too.

Check around for a local roaster. Not only would you be supporting a local business, but they are generally full of information and offer large range of choices. Also, many of the small coffee shops and quality markets may have custom blends or roasts to try.
