Why do they cal it.................................

Why is it called the super bowl?

Because I hear they had a whole list of names and chose that over:

The Salad Bowl
The Fruit Bowl
The Toilet Bowl
and
The Mediocre Bowl

(but I think it was because the stadiums were bowl shaped as opposed to the ones with the stands along the sides like in High School).

Why is it called a "G-string"???? :ouch:

If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?[/QUOTE]

Why do they call deaf people....as deaf dumb and mute when there are so many intelligent deaf people ...and some of them can talk as well...

Why is it called soccer only in North America and Football in the remaining continents?.

You've mixed up the "saying". It is actually "deaf, dumb and stupid". Dumb is another archaic term for mute or unable to speak. An example of this would be what we call a baby pacifier which used to be called a "dummy" since it prevented the baby from squawking.....

The term "deaf dumb and stupid" wasn't used on everyone who was deaf, just those who were mute as well and then the stupid part was only if the person was stupid too.

Because we know the difference heheheh

Actually, not every country, Austrailia has "aussie rules football" which is very similar to our football with some rugby mixed in.......

But more aptly, we have both football and soccer, and few other countries have football. But soccer is used elsewhere too....I've heard it used in England to describe the fans....aka "soccer fans"....come to think of it, I don't think I've ever heard them described as "football fans"....

Here is mine.

Why is it called a hat trick when you score three goals in Hockey?

Where are the hats :intello:

they usually end up on the ice!

A "hat trick" is an old saying for magicians who used to pull a rabbit out of a hat, a dove, and all sorts of things.

(fuck me, I guess I'm pretty old to know this shit)

Actually it originated a long time ago from the game Cricket. Cannot remember why.

wiki is your friend:

" In cricket it happens when a bowler takes three wickets with consecutive deliveries" whatever the fuck that means lol.....

And:

The term became popular in North American sport in the mid 1940s in NHL hockey. In Toronto, Canada, a local businessman named Sammy Taft offered a free hat to the player who could score three goals in a single game. When Alex Kaleta played against the Toronto Maple Leafs one night, Kaleta scored the first 'hat trick', winning a hat as promised by Taft. From then on, three goals in a hockey game became referred to as a hat trick.

If you go to:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hat-trick

Read up on the variations, some are pretty good. Like the "gordie howe" hat trick where you get a goal an assist and a fight all in the same game lol...

Why do they call it THE CLAP :frown:

Tboy no cheating through Google :go:
