This happy ending is practically a miracle. A South Florida couple pulled over after driving about five miles Thursday, thinking their PT Cruiser's engine was running a bit rough. Turns out the only tuneup they needed was to extract the puppy that had somehow become stuck between the car's axle and steering mechanism. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue's technical team disassembled the car to extricate him. "It was literally like an Indy pit crew," said rescue team spokesman Mike Jachles. Most amazingly, the puppy wasn't injured.
