Wireless mouse versus standard ones that you attach to your computer.

I found that it was so much easier to spend a few extra dollars to buy a wireless mouse than the standard ones. But sometimes it takes too long for that red light to go on to bother with anymore. I am going back to the old fashioned way and not worrying when I have to buy batteries or bang it on the table so it will work.

Any recommendations on the perfect computer mouse?. Money is no object.

I have used and love my two Logitech MK710 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo's for many years both on my laptop and PC (with 5 huge monitors so mouse has to travel a lot!). I like the keyboard so much I take it in my luggage when travel for more than a few days, like when I come to Toronto and use with my Asus laptop. In the U.S. it is $67.36 on Amazon.

The lag from wireless drives me crazy, especially when it comes to pin point accuracy that I need with some of my work. In the past, I've had great success with a track ball type of mouse. Its great especially if you suffer from wrist pain or if you need to move the mouse fast across large monitors.

I have never had any lag with my set up. It doesn't use bluetooth but a Logitech Unifying Receiver dongle. It uses 2.4 Mz. I have five 24 inch monitors on my PC so mouse has lots of space to cover.

Hmm maybe I need to spring for a good wireless then. I've only used the ones that work provides which are very laggy. 5 monitors. Wow.

Thanks for the recommendations. I stopped by staples willing to spend around $50 for a good mouse. Most wireless ones start at $19.99 up to $69.99. I asked for assistance and the sales person was trying to sell me one for $49.99. Asked him what's the difference between that one and the lower priced ones and says better precision, speed etc...

I said don't all mouse have options where you can speed up the mouse action and he says yes but blah, blah and blah. Bullshit if you ask me so I bought a wired compact optical 500 with a scroll wheel for $10.95 and works fine for me.

Btw, there is a $1.75 extra fee they charge you for 'recycling fee'. There is our government penny and pinching us again.

Wireless Mouse has to scamper a long way from opposite monitors. Set up with keyboard and mouse.
The yellowish monitor is because it's the Financial Times site kind of a gold color a bit distorted in the picture.
