I knew this from personal experience. Funny to read a survey on it.

Notice how the article tries to lump 'to make someone feel better' with 'to avoid trouble or to make life simplier'. Even when women are caught being chronic liars, society has to make excuses for them.

Every man who admits the truth knows that women are outstandingly deceitful human beings.
