Listening to the radio this morning and this topic was brought up. Would you approve if she marries a rich rock star, athlete etc who you know is going to cheat on her?

Or someone with a lot less money but she will be happier.

To name a few. Tiger woods, Mel Gibson, Kobe Bryant, Charlie Sheen, David Letterman etc...

Money doesn't buy happiness and love doesn't pay the bills.

I wouldn't want her to marry for money, and I wouldn't want her to marry a loser regardless of wealth.

Ditto, and I would add I would want a daughter to be successful on her own and not have to worry about marrying anyone unless she finds her soul mate.

Do what Elin Nordegren did. Marry rich, let him cheat on you and take half his money. Now she can marry for love. :666:

Who is the first one to shoot me. :whip: :slap:

My Grandmother always told us girls You can marry a poor male and be miserable or you can marry a rich man and be just as miserable.

Not gonna shoot PI... I happen to agree with you. She is reportedly getting paid off to the tune of 3/4 of a $BILLION! What Tiger did was certainly not nice, but $750,000,000????? She was a part time model and nanny for Jesper Parnevik before Tiger came along, now she's got it made!

So who is the better one at fucking over their spouse?

Tiger or Elin?

Tough call if you ask me....

I don't know about you guys, but I'll hazard a guess that most of you weren't worth THAT much $ either when you were in your early 20's... Unless you are born into it, or are an ultra celebrity, it takes time to accumulate wealth.

I have asked Mrs. CG what drew me to her aside from my striking good looks, skillful "bedside manner" and huge cock of course... (OK, I wasn't really all that, hence the question... LOL ) Her answer was: I recognized that you had a great heart, would make a good father, and had great potential.

So, to answer your question, and I HAVE thought about this since I do have 2 daughters... and I expect I will have this sort of conversation with both of them sometime in the future: NO- I would not let them marry a rich Loser... Don't marry a man purely for money. Marry a man that will make you happy, has a good heart and has the potential to become a great husband and father.

:great:

Good points CG.

Don't look at how much money a man has. Look at how he spends what he has.

Not all rich guys are not losers. Do tell them that it helps if they have a profession.

Of course... isn't that covered by having great potential? :???:

Oh... and one other thing... Make sure he's not a registered member of HUBGFE! :na: :he:
