Holy shit, that dude's got balls of steel....for now until some shark decides to have a couple of chicken balls! I think he's tempting fate and playing with fire.

Actually I think it's a woman :shocking:

Beautiful video. But, no thanks. I've been snorkeling and watched sharks swimming below, and that's freaky enough.

This has to be a phonny clip. Don't sharks attack anyone and anything?.

As long as you don't run out of fish, you're safe.

I think it depends on the type of shark, I think there are certain types that are more aggressive than others.

Nice shark suit. A chain mail suit makes you pretty safe but I understand that well fed sharks can be pretty docile. I liked the one at the end where it seemed that the shark just wanted a rub down.

Does she have to be...um...careful as to what...um time of the month...she does this? :search:

A VERY good friend of mine is a comedian (Kevin Sage) bUT he also is a Scuba Instructor. There's nothing to worry about if you are trained well. ...and the fish aren't starving :-p

P.S..@3:04 the shark farts

There is a guy in Australia who does the same thing with the Big Whites...
The sharks are large than he is...
I enjoyed watching this...

Thousands of sharks are kill everyday to make Shark Fin Soup.
Their fins are cut of and they are thrown back into the ocean to die.....
I could understand using the whole shark but to do that well that is
disgusting.......

I've gone on a shark feeding dive in the bahamas...it was a blast and I never felt in any danger. Sharks are very misunderstood creatures.

Yes, sharks were thought to be mindless eating machines but with education and research comes knowledge...(funny how that happens eh?). Sharks are actually quite afraid of people and it is believed that most shark attacks are accidents....where the shark is either afraid or bites thinking we're food.

Yes, there are certain types of sharks who are more aggressive than others. Bull sharks are the most aggressive and they WILL attack anything that moves. Hammerheads are next (I think) and great whites, are farther down the list than you'd think. Nurse sharks are no more dangerous than a carp.

The problem with shark feeding excursions is that you're actually doing more harm than good. You're teaching the sharks (who don't think we're food) to associate humans with food. I saw a report that shark attacks are on the rise in areas where shark feeding occurs. Personally? I think anyone who practices this should be charged, jailed and if they do it again, have a raw rotten cod head tied to their balls and thrown into a pool of starving sharks. In addition, if anyone gets bit in an area they take these excursions, THEY should be charged.....

People are stupid sometimes and don't realize the harm they're doing.....

It's called tonic immobility, if you search google scholar there are a number of articles researching it and it's affects on not only sharks but a number of animals (see TI in rabbits for example). There isn't a lot of information on it yet but it's an interesting reaction.
Would I do it? No. There isn't a simple answer for why but in general TI is easily induced in prey species and animals that are less likely to be eaten seem to be less susceptible to it (hence it's very hard to induce in a Great White). The science is out on why this is but until we know more I personally wouldn't do it, there doesn't seem to be a benefit to doing it and there might be a lot of harm in doing so.
