Agree 100%. Yes, we are starving for government types that have a backbone, ready to have a stance on issues, but Ford is not that man. His views on the world around him are chauvinistic, sexist, privileged, and just plain dickish. Toronto needs Ford like a glass shop needs a bull.

I mean, he forced his office staff to take a pay freeze then voted himself a nice comfy raise so that he could be "on par with other international cities". Total BS IMO.

At $167,800 the mayor of Toronto is paid less than the mayors of Montreal ($192,235), Mississauga ($185,137), and York Region's regional chair ($188,013).
There will be a vote to bring it up to $183,604 in December, to kick in after the election, still less than Hazel's salary.

The fact that a lightweight like Ford is leading the polls is an indication that voters are seriously fed up with the Millers , the Giambones, the Moscoes and the Kyle Raes and want some significant change whatever the costs. 3 of the above are smart enough to realize it and have retired while the rest of Council has no other public teat to feed on.

I think a buffoon like Ford with a mandate to take on CUPE would be fun for awhile, and possibly needed to wake everyone up.

Given the disparaging comments about Mr. Ford and the fact the his opponents are only seeking to tear him down without offering a comprehensive vision for the betterment of Toronto, FORD GETS MY VOTE OUT OF SPITE FOR THE OTHERS.

Ford's single vote on council as Mayor will be meaningless, the left wing rabble will continue to loot our pockets. Toronto loves the left wing and that's just the way it is.
