My first husband was paying child support to his ex when we got married, and I knew what a financial hardship it was for us.
So when I divorced him years later, I asked for a very low amount of child support, because I figured getting something was better than getting nothing if he ended up in bankruptcy or disappeared.
I never asked for alimony for myself from any of my 3 ex's.
Not all women are selfish money hungry twats.
