Yoga is one of the most effective methods to help with back pain!

You don't have to buy expensive gear or join a gym either, you can work out at home watching videos.

This is how I got started on my path to healing lifelong chronic pain in my back 10 years ago, and I'm pain free now! :yahoo:

I began by watching and learning from master yoga practitioner Rodney Yee, and I found some of his videos on YouTube.

I started off with DDP Yoga a few years ago; it's simplified for beginners and has some benefits but I found traditional yoga more beneficial (he also incorporates traditional yoga in his routines).

My favorite exercise for lower back pain due to herniated disks...

It hurts at times while doing it but after a little while, I always feel better.

(Plus I think more flexibility in this area will allow me to thrust further during sex!)

You do know that they can now fix herniated disks. They just remove it.

That makes sense as that is what they did for my dog, they removed discs in her neck and did a fenestration, on another. Yet when I saw a specialist about my herniated discs, he said that I wasn't a candidate for surgery, and that they've learned that doing surgery can sometimes make back pain worse, so less surgery is done. Perhaps it's a case by case issue and some discs can be removed, and others can't? As far as therapies, what works for one may not work for another. So it's best to keep trying until you find something that helps. It was acupuncture adn as I said before a supplement called zyflamend that helped me.

My dad had back surgery on his disks about 40 years ago. After about 20 years he needed surgery again because scar tissue began affecting the nerves in his spine, and in the last few years of his life, he was in excruciating pain from more scar tissue and they couldn't operate again because they didn't figure he'd survive the surgery.

I think surgery should be the last resort.

Yoga rules.

I've used DDP for several years. It's one of the better programs I've tried.
