You suck, I hate you.

Were they teachers by any chance? I ask because I have a group of friends who are all teachers. When ever we have to throw money in the center of the table they all take so damn long to calculate their bills and once I count the money we are always 20% short of the bill + tip. Farkers never have any money. :shout:
.....yet the general public thinks teachers are overpaid. lol

They are few and far between.

thus the paradox theory....re: economics ....why rich people hardly spend while the poor people maximize their spending.

aww a teacher basher here.....well apparently there are many starving students out there. Thus I don't think teachers expect a free lunch....just to be treated fairly and with respect.

not a basher, just a taxpayer

My niece is a teacher and we went to lunch a few weeks ago

when the check came she told me she would get it. I was genuinely surprised until she reached for may wallet.

Is that teacher also not a taxpayer??

interesting question

I would liken it to: Let us say you have a jar you keep change in and one day you take half of the change out.
You then put, oh say, 15% of what you took back in the jar. You tell yourself you are adding to the growth of the jar and discount the fact that the money you put in the jar came from that jar.

I see, so then um that teacher who went to University for 3 years, then one year of teachers college should work for minimum wage and no benefits because she or he isn't really a tax payer but a tax taker in your humble opinion??

Also the association or union representing the worker should walk into negotiations with their heads down and say, DEAR BOARD/BOSS/CEO/Negotiating Committee, we who are entrusted with representing the teachers or worker would like to take it IN THE ASS and reduce our pay and benifits because we would like to give back to the tax payer and the government who can do better with the money taken away from us and reinvest it in um hmmm let me think.... yeah a power plant, hmmmm OH yes and living expenses and AH yes YES travel abroad, OH YES YES and "entertainment writes offs" ect ect ect .

back to the jar

it can only hold so much cash and demanding a bigger jar does not mean more money is available to fill the bigger jar.

It isn't anymore about more money, the fight now a days is trying to keep what has been earned without it being stripped away without proper negotiations.

One more question, over the last 3 or 4 years governments and employers in the public sector both in Canada and the US have been cutting cutting cutting mainly to the detriment of the front line worker. My question is has anyone's taxes gone down?? ANYONE because mine have not, I'm still paying more and more and more and more............user fees, gas taxes, taxes taxes and more taxes but in the midst of all these attempted cuts WTF, where's my money going??:don'twantto-see:/:NoNoNo:
