I'm inclined to think sans serif, but maybe not.
Something shy but friendly with nice curves and a sweet giggle.

You'd have to create one Jasper.

I'd call it BouncyPop and it would have a curvy appearance with a contemporary flare with just a slight HINT of irony.

Something like this comes to mind.....

Adorable!

A simple "Amy's avatar gives me wood" would have sufficed bob.

Nice post Amy! :good:

I write for the female and heterosexual male demographics, Cardinal Fag. Why are you reading or commenting on my posts?

That's a perfect font for Amy, or the label on a jar of smooth creamy peanut butter.

:good:

Jasper, you should check out my buddy Pablo Impallari's font site:

He made a font called Lobster that was so popular, that people are sick of it, because they see it everywhere. It's this one:

The history about it is here:

Part of the reason it's so popular is that it has almost every accented character from any European language, and a huge number of ligatures and alternates. He also takes suggestions, and updates the font with new glyphs every so often. I left a comment for him "We're still waiting for the cuneiform glyphs and the Linear B kerning pairs", and he was mildly off put, but then he looked up cuneiform and Linear B on Wikipedia, and realized I had given him a funny left handed compliment. Pablo found the registration papers for the original design on which my new Cabbagetown font is based.

That's from from 1885 Cameo and Plain Shade - MacKellar Smith and Jordan (Patented 1874)

I thought that was a pretty amazing find, until he came up with the 1874 patent papers:

In one of his recent fonts, I asked him about the efficiency of the design for his lower case x:

And he explained how 'spreading the middle' a small amount is a printer's trick; it's done intentionally to compensate for the natural degradation, when the text is displayed at small point sizes. He liked my analogy of someone losing ten pounds before going on television, because 'the camera adds ten pounds'. We're fans of each others' work.

His fonts generally have SIL Apache open source licensing, and he gets all of his typography income from donations. He made a lot of money from Lobster, because a lot of big companies use it, especially in Europe, but it's everywhere here as well. One of the Escorts here with a banner add uses it. He's done a lot of professional typefaces that can all be downloaded for free, and the user chooses the donation amount for commercial use. The Encore Sans has 45 different styles and weights. to me, though, almost all sans serif fonts look pretty much alike.

Continuing to be a fark-wad, huh, Idiot?

So let's say I like a font bito, is it possible to download the font and use it in Word??

I was wondering the same thing.

I would think so or what's the use of creating fonts.

Is it possible to use images of nude women to create fonts??

I used Lobster as one of the fonts on my site as well. But then I got bored of it and changed most of my title fonts to Marck script and body fonts to Reklame script. I don't know when I will get bored of those too haha but I don't have too many options with wix fonts.

I like Funkydori, bito, thanks.

The Lobster typeface is great, I can see why it's popular. Seems to be an odd choice for a name but maybe there's an interesting story behind it.

Are there any songs about an appreciation of font types?

Maybe Gary Lewis was hinting about his fondness, pretending he was singing about a girl?

Bob, hard for me to believe there is a profitable market for fonts considering the abundance of that type of product already. Why would corporations seek out more than what is currently available? Is it simply like having the newest Hummer, making a statement.Hmmmmmm

Most fonts are actually licensed, unless you steal them off the 'Net like BITI does (and recommends). Fonts are usually purchased for any commercial purposes.

So here's a question maybe bob can help us with. If fonts are licensed for commercial use, how is the regulation and enforcement of copyright/patent infringement handled? in other words, is there a secret society of 'Font Police' out there somewhere ensuring the rules are obeyed and the laws respected? Serious question. One of my daughters works in marketing, I'll ask her as well.

Been through this with some legal eagles. Fonts are copyright, and almost all except those in the public domain require a license to use commercially. Many require you to buy the right to use the font. So, when BITI downloads fonts from the Darknet, he is stealing from font designers and publishers. He claims to make a living doing this, so how does TheIdiot rationalize stealing from others when he doesn't want that to happen to himself? Same logic as stealing videos, which he freely posts he does all the time. To quote a police friend: "A thief is a thief..."
