A reflection thread

Yeah I'm making a reflection thread, but that's just me, I like reflecting, and I hope this will be an enjoyable read to everyone.

Basically the gist of the thread is - instead of seeing SP's, why don't I... BE one?

Just under two weeks I learned so much about escorting and how to run the sex work business on this website. I also spent some time by myself learning about webcamming and how to be a dominatrix. I have seen a few SP's, which were all right, but now I figured instead of paying why don't I put in 10x more effort and... get paid instead? I'm a learning person; why don't I use what I learned and do something with it? It can seem overwhelming and daunting, but manageable, and the only barrier I truly have is getting past my negative self image and lack of confidence. I have webcamming as a possible way to start so why don't I start with that and roll with it?

I have actually done some sex work in the past via backpages, but only for 5 days and the experience was so traumatizing I never wanted to do it again. But I figured.. that's life, things will always be shit, and I'm sure there are others who have been through worse situations. Plus there are support networks, and good thing now I know that they exist. I'm also a person who is exploring my own sexual identity so who knows, maybe it won't be as bad as it seems?

Another thing I have noticed, and this is something very huge, is that I'm VERY different from the other clients, and because of this I would feel really bad if I were to continue to be like the rest and pay SP's for sex. I don't have the same viewpoints as other clients; for instance I'm not conservative nor libertarian, I don't hold any sexist, homophobic, transphobic, racist views, and I'm willing to spend time to stand up for groups of people like LGBTQ people or sex workers, something that most clients on this forum are not doing. And I'm also LGBT who have to explain to SP's who I plan to see that I am, so why the hell am I trying to be like the cis heterosexual men on this site?

So now I'm slapping myself asking what the fuck am I even doing here paying SP's for sex when what I should be doing is being more involved within LGBTQ and sex work communities, and/or getting my shit together and realizing that being a sex worker like a webcammer is something that I can possibly do if I put my mind into it. It'll also be beneficial for me in the long run as well because I learn grooming habits and how to stay ideally fit and how to take care of my physical health. It's not like I currently make good money or anything; in fact I barely make enough for rent.

Oh right because I like to spend time with hot attractive women that I couldn't do in real life. Well why don't I just jerk off instead?

Go back to school and spend that energy and dedication towards becoming a social worker. With your personality and background, you'd likely make a much greater positive impact for the communities you care about than you ever could by transitioning into a SW.

Please be careful no matter what you decide. You may think that distancing the intimate contact by camming instead of what you’ve done in the past will reduce negative impact, but it may backfire. People act very differently behind a keyboard/monitor than they do in real-life circumstances and hurtful words from a stranger online can effect you just as deeply if you’re not being careful.

Also some of your assumptions about this “community” are not exactly accurate IMHO. HUBGFE is where some of the best people contribute but there are so many more who lurk or have never spent any time on forums.

You'll find negativity and hatefulness no matter the forum, or aspect of this industry you choose. For some that is the only way they know how to respond, and for some it is the only way they know how to garner attention.
The easiest part of this profession is ignoring the hate and stupidness some like to spew, the hardest part is finding your niche, once you've done that, your on a road to $$ and fun. Don't compare yourself to anyone, nor spend any time trying to understand why some do as they do. Be the unique person you choose to be and thrive. Love yourself and others will love you too/ Best of luck.

Every single SW should read this comment. :YMAPPLAUSE:

Thank you @LadyJacklyn, high praise and, I so appreciate your acknowledgement. It took me a long time to realize this, hopefully others will find strength in those words:)

i viewed this as an "easy job" but for me it became harder and harder... for multiple reasons lol burnout is reaaaall for this job. and getting used to regular pay after escort pay is kinda hard too tbh

webcamming is a different world hahah
but if you want to be a SP i say jump into it - you never know if its for you unless you try! you're unique and have different things to offer compared to others. you choose your clientele too whether you want to see men and women or solely women or be pansexual hahah rmb even if its an agency it should be YOUR CHOICE!! know everything before signing a "contract" with an agency or just do your own thing :) good luck!!

Is it possible to be an SP that sees women only? Are there women who actually pays for sex?

I’ve spoken to an SP who tried women only, she went broke fast and had to resort back to seeing men.
apparently, the rare women who do hire female escorts, Bargain and negotiate worse than men, expect free time and then want a relation ship because they’re special.

I guess that explains why the first few SP's that I saw didn't like me. No I didn't bargain but they claim that my sex drive is too atypical and "vanilla" for them and that I'm too indecisive. I'm not a cis-male that's why.

However, I truly think that you and me are both on to something. Why is that female clients are less preferable than male clients from female SP's? You mentioned wanting relationship, free time, and bargaining, and I figured it's pretty much the same mentality that I had when I made that thread a while ago about wanting to see restrictive GFE SP's in exchange for less payment - that sexual acts doesn't matter to me as long as we have the emotional connection and intimacy. Yes, makes perfect sense why I'm not a cis-male.

Honestly the more I think about this the more I consider that hobbying is definitely not for me. I already get into enough shit for me saying I'm not into receiving blowjobs.

So now I'm thinking - why the hell did I even consider hobbying in the first place? Oh right because it's new for me, that I might enjoy it, like going bungee jumping.
