Walmart’s shares dived 6%, wiping about $13bn off the value of the world’s biggest retailer as the deal ramped up pressure on traditional chains already hit by a rapid change in shopping habits. Shares in the UK’s biggest chain, Tesco, and Germany’s Metro were also down about 6% each.

I refused to shop at Whole foods. Why pay twice as much for a product unless you don't care about your money.

Perhaps the brick and mortar stores will eventually be a thing of history. Instead there will just be huge warehouses owned by companies like Amazon that will deliver whatever you purchase. But there would still be little mom and pop shops.....some people just have to be able to see and touch things before buying.

Eventually we'll be like the people in Wall-E....

There's also a possibility that we'd go VR and end up more like the people in the Matrix.

My kid loves the movie WallE so I've seen it a ton. One aspect of the chair life they don't touch on.........how do you go to the bathroom if you're never out of the chair?! They even sleep in them!
