America don't do it. Syria, Keive, Ukraine, ISIS and more. War???

What type of an argument is that.

It could be used to say,

Because one American killed children and teachers in an elementary school, all Americans are violent and all their polices are wrong.

I think the issues are:

1. We can not stand by and let dictators use WMD this has to be balanced by the costs to deal with this problem on an economic, polictical and human level.
2. Why can't the "Arab League" deal with this problem? Why are there no strong voices from the Arab League about using WMD.
3. Why risk North American treasure, lives, etc. to deal with this problem. If Assad goes - who will be left in charge. WHat are there polictical motivations of those left - will this be a greater risk to the west. It appears that Assad is mainly a dictator and does not bother his neighbours currently.
4. Putin is reasonable - Come on - Glenn Beck sounds like an idiot (perhaps I do not understand the point of his argument)?
5. What evidence does the US have that chemical weapons were used. They better be sure. Not like Iraq.

The US is using the excuse that Syria used chemical weapons on their own people but it has been proven wrong.

NEW YORK – As the U.S. considers a response to what it calls a chemical weapon attack by Syria’s Bashar al-Assad regime that killed hundreds of civilians, reliable Middle Eastern sources say they have evidence the culprits actually were the rebel forces trying to take over the government.

Secretary of State John Kerry accused the Assad government Monday of covering up the use of chemical weapons in “a cowardly crime” and a “moral obscenity” that shocked the world’s conscience. Kerry claimed the Obama administration had “undeniable” evidence “that the Assad government was culpable in the use of chemical weapons on civilians” in the Aug. 21 attack in Damascus suburbs.

Reports that the Obama administration is considering a military strike against the Assad government continued to circulate Monday. Meanwhile, U.N. weapon inspectors in Syria were fired upon by snipers as they attempted to investigate the site of the Aug. 21 attack.

Assad has rejected charges that his government forces used chemical weapons as “preposterous” and “completely politicized,” the Los Angeles Times reported.
He argues Syrian forces were in the targeted area.

“How is it possible that any country would use chemical weapons, or any weapons of mass destruction, in an area where its own forces are located?” Assad asked in the interview with Izvestia, according to a translation provided by Syria’s official news agency and published by the Los Angeles Times.

“This is preposterous! These accusations are completely politicized and come on the back of the advances made by the Syrian Army against the terrorists.”
Rebel attack?

With the assistance of former PLO member and native Arabic-speaker Walid Shoebat, WND has assembled evidence from various Middle Eastern sources that cast doubt on Obama administration claims the Assad government is responsible for last week’s attack.

A video posted on YouTube, embedded below, shows Free Syrian Army, or FSA, rebel forces launching a Sarin gas attack on a Syrian village.

I think the US government is more credible than Assad and a You Tube Video. Don't you? If not, perhaps you should visit Syria and find out...

I am not saying that the US and its allies don;t have their own proganda machine - but we elect these people. In the middle east, most countries are dictatorships. Come on - be smart - who is more credible?

sigh...I am sick to death of the US being the world police. I know, chemical weapons bad. But I really wish we would just stay out of it.

First we launch the missiles, then Syria goes after Turkey, then we are NATO-obligated to put boots on the ground. Another Middle East clusterfuck.

My thinking is very Isolationist these days. I'm so tired of my country being at war. We have enough problems at home without trying to solve everyone else's.

I totally agree Silly Girl. I don't want our treasure spent on Syria. But history has taught us that being "Isolationist" may cause small problems to turn into big problems. I don't know the answer. Hopefully the people that we elect to deal with these problems will make the right calls and have good information to make the right decisions.

You calling the US government credible. Buddy where have you been lately. Granted I don't know much about how Syria operates but all the American government wants to do it to make more money for those that support them. Like manufactures and companies that makes, jets, tanks etc.

Even Germany wants no part of this one. The USA is acting like bullies again.

Way to go again America. Attack them and give them more ammunition and another reason for terrorists to attack us again.

So some dictator is Syria uses chemical weapons killing women and children. And you say "The USA is acting like bullies again". Really?

Let me give you an example of your logic.

Kid A (Assad) continuously kicks the crap out of Kid B (the people in Syria).

Kid C (USA) stands up for Kid B (the people in Syria). Kid C (USA) says don't do that any more. Kid A (ASSAD - the dictator) continues to beat the shit out of Kid B (the people of Syria) and Kid A (Assad) takes out a knife. Kid C (USA) stops Kid A from bullying/killing Kid B after a few stabbings.

You say Kid C is the bully. Really?

It's not just the money. It's the lost lives, the soldiers doing too many tours of duty, the inadequate available follow-up care for those soldiers when they get back, the knowledge that no matter how it goes wrong or whose fault it is, we will be blamed.

I'm war-weary. I have no idea if my government is telling the truth or not (thank you, Dubya...there's your legacy in my world). The Middle East has never been at peace and it never will be, and we can't fix it, and I'm tired of us being expected to try.

My only take on this one is that there is no prove yet who did it. Then kid D, Russia steps in. Then kid E, China etc...

Going back to the in call now ;/Waving://

Terrorists will use it as an excuse whether we attack them or don't. If we do, it's US aggression. If we don't, it's US not standing up against a repressive regime.

Those fucktards will twist anything into an excuse.

Bingo. Picture this scenario. The USA is in the middle of a civil war. All of a sudden the Eastern Countries decide to attack and protect Texas because of their oil.

How would the Americans feel?.

LOL, just when this thread was getting me genuinely aggravated. Thanks for the smile.

That would end the civil war in about one minute. We are quite the divided country, until we are attacked. Then all of a sudden we remember we're supposed to be on the same team.

Until the crisis passes, then we go back to fighting amongst ourselves.
