So we had an environmental fee, then it was taken off, now it's back on.
I've been buying a lot of paint, stain, and clear coat over the past month or so and I don't know how much I paid in these fees but it was quite a lot considering all except for 1 litre of stain was all water based and not harmful to the environment.
The local Homo Depot had a smallish 2 stage snowblower hanging around for about a month. last one. I went it and made a deal with the manager and paid for it.
On the way home I took a look at the receipt and whoop, no environmental fee. WTF? This thing had a crankcase full of over 3 qts of oil, took thousands of kwh to manufacture, had solvent based enamel paint all over it, plastics up the yin yang, Rubber wheels, grease, all sorts of toxic things.
One day someone ought to walk up to our leaders and smack them upside the head......
