Yul Brynner had a relatively full head of hair, before he shaved his head for the film "The King and I" in 1956, and liked the look. His other bald role that year was as Ramses in Cecille B De Mille's remake of "The Ten Commandments".



Brynner as Pharaoh of Egypt is a 'role play' I enjoy, and Brynner's distinctive accent is a big part of that. You can make a cheesy 'Egyptian royal loincloth' by tying some ties around your waist. I like made up dialog like "That one...Breeeeng her to me', and "Would you enjoy having all of the riches that Egypt has to offer? Then you know what you must do.", and it's improv, from there.

It's a mystery. Hairdresser thinks it's probably because of the hard water in my apartment.

He tells me Redken is coming out with some new product he will use with the red color that will make it stay better. I don't know if it's available yet, but I'll find out bright and early tomorrow at my 6:30 appt.
