I've never been a fan of long hair on men. Somehow it just seems too girly.
Most of the time, not always:
But I know what you mean, Silly Girl. Blame the hippies for that, then the southern rednecks, then the 80's 'Big Hair' rock bands, then grunge musicians. Each group was doing it for a different reason.
The hippies were flaunting their non-conformity, aversion to military service, and open-mindedness to bisexuality.
The southern rednecks were affiliating themselves with outlaws from the 'Old West'.
The 'Big Hair' bands were saying "We want to pay for our ladies, with their boyfriends' money'.
The grunge musicians espoused "I don't want to grow up and sell out, like my father - 'I'll get by, with a little help from my friends'.
Now, the long greasy hair look say's "I'm homeless, I can't afford a barber, and I don't trust the manual dexterity of either myself, or anyone I know, to cut my hair, nor have a pair of scissors that close to my throat".
Alternatively, long hair on men today says, depending on their age, "I'm stuck in the ??ties", depending on which decade they started to smoke week every day.
