The objective would be to avoid misunderstanding. It sounds like the venue is open to the public. At one party at a strip club, I introduced myself to a girl who I assumed was in the industry only to be rudely told to fuck off by a guy I presume was her boyfriend.
What kind of dumb fuck brings their girlfriend to a strip club when there's an industry party going on there? What the fuck do you expect will happen?

Not everyone that is in the facility knows about our party, all they know is theres more people than normal and more ladies than normal.

Well, let me put it this way: I don't appreciate being rudely told to "fuck off" just for saying hello. I'm not the type of person who goes looking for trouble (good thing), but this guy was asking for it, IMO.

So is it harsh to call this guy a dumb fuck? Maybe.. but I make no apologies.

Anyway.. My point is.. nametags would be nice, as they would remove potential confusion and misunderstanding.

I've never been forced to wear a name tag... I think it's an optional thing. Having said that I will always wear one ... just in case people don't recognize the short lil bundle of energy with glasses ....
