Cancellation Fees - Cool or Not Cool?

Nor can I grasp how one could determine "average".

This topic has so many mine fields and options it is not a simple answer for anyone but being a fairly experienced person I will give you my two cents on the topic
1. As mentioned above a lady can choose to say she has a cancellation fee or not! She can also choose to not enforce it if she wishes to!!! It is her business and it is her right to run it as she sees fit.
2. It was mentioned above by an advertiser that she has had several cancellations! Perhaps it might be from the location that you advertise. To have that many cancellations would raise a flag with me. Something is wrong.
3. Requesting deposits. I have booked several ladies in the past particularly in the USA (vegas) and have had many request a deposit. I personally have Never eve paid a deposit and nor would I ever pay one.
4. Canceling an appointment. This is very touchy and I think it really boils down to client/provider/agency relationship. Treat others how you wish to be treated.

DILLIGAF

In my 12 year career, I average one or two cancellations per YEAR.

Yet most other SP's have mocked and questioned my screening process and business procedures every step of the way.

Hmmmmmm

In the low to mid range market, 40% of the SPs I book flake on me and I waste my money, time and energy in trying to make the appt at the agreed upon time. I have never received a discount or any compensation from the SPs that have cancelled on me. Even ladies I have repeated with who have cancelled on me have never compensated me.

I would never pay a cancellation fee to an escort. I try to make my appts as agreed. In 15 years of hobbying, I have missed about 10 appts. I follow through with my appts more than 95% of the time.

Cancellations happen both ways. Of course, men don't show up quite often, but that is because they pay out monies, whereas the SP takes in the money. So, the incentive equation is tilted towards the client to cancel. That is the same in all business transactions between customer and provider. Imagine being a hotel owner and the # of cancellations they deal with in a year. Must cost a fortune in lost revenue.

That's why they collect a pre-authorized cancellation deposit on your credit card, or you have to pay a large cash deposit if you don't have a CC.

My point of view, if you NCNS or cancel within a few hours notice to book again hell yeah I'll need a cancellation fee or a deposit. It's the same both ways though if I have something come up I'll offer a discounted rate upon rescheduling.

I can never give any SP or agency owner my personal information, simple as that. I will only book with those that are drama free and know that cancellations is part of doing business. Yes, if the occurrence is constant then there are issues with either the SP or the client.

Remember K.I.S.S.

This ^^^^ is called 'professionalism'. :YMAPPLAUSE::clapping::good:

I'd really like to know how an SP would collect a cancellation fee from a first time client, or even a repeat client for that matter. It's a statement in principal, but how the hell are you going to collect? If he was a regular, you should cut him some slack. If he's a good client, he will make up for it on his next trip, I have but I rarely cancel; maybe once in 20 years.

The same goes for if an SP cancels on you. How are you going to collect? She'd probably tell you to take a hike and never take your booking again. Again, if she were a regular, she should take something off your next visit. If I had a green for every SP that flaked on me, I'd have a month of free sessions.

It's part of the industry and nothing you can do about it. Each party either respects each other and compensates or you both move on.

See Juno's post above.

Simple. The clients sends a deposit at time of booking. The appointment is not considered confirmed until deposit has been received. When client shows up, amount of deposit is deducted from total cost of appointment.

I've never collected a deposit in my life, because I never needed to, but totally respect the rights of ladies who do.

Honestly, I've never left a deposit for a booking. I've seen this request with some high priced Indies but when looking at their profile and unless I had a real hankering to be with that particular woman (which 99.9% of the time, I don't), I pass. And for another thread, I don't think most indies who are 300 per hr and up are worth it, but that's the ceiling that I've set for myself.

I don't see the logic in leaving a deposit for an hour or two booking. Period. I do see that if it's a longer session like 4 hours or more, that yes, you should collect a deposit, I'd even say 50%, then there's a commitment.

:rofl!: Thank you, although your response didn't specify how anyone could determine how an escort could be considered average:)
But since you appear to like math, here are some other equations for you to solve, I'll look forward to your answers:)

Homological conjectures in commutative algebra
Hilbert's sixteenth problem
Hilbert's fifteenth problem
Hadamard conjecture
Jacobson's conjecture
Existence of perfect cuboids and associated cuboid conjectures
Zauner's conjecture: existence of SIC-POVMs in all dimensions
Wild Problem: Classification of pairs of n×n matrices under simultaneous conjugation and problems containing it such as a lot of classification problems
Köthe conjecture
Birch–Tate conjecture
Serre's conjecture II
Bombieri–Lang conjecture
Farrell–Jones conjecture
Bost conjecture
Uniformity conjecture
Kaplansky's conjecture
Kummer–Vandiver conjecture
Serre's multiplicity conjectures
Pierce–Birkhoff conjecture
Eilenberg–Ganea conjecture
Green's conjecture
Grothendieck–Katz p-curvature conjecture
Sendov's conjecture

That's the wonderful thing about this business, we all get to choose. Many of us set our prices to interest a certain clientele and also to instantly preclude a certain clientele from even an inquiry. It works wonderfully.

Yep. But just because a client can throw money around like it's yesterday's news, does not make him a good client. I'm sure there are lots of exceptions out there.

Who said I like math? The guy in the picture I posted just looks like an 'average' joe.

But given it's you who automatically focused in on the algebraic equation, we can only assume that it's actually you who really likes math. It's only logical.

Gives me an idea for a new poll: Nerdy Girls - Hot or Not?

Yep, entitled clients are just as dangerous as entitled SP's. One of my nicest clients ever was really poor and on a disability pension, but he still saved up to come see me once every few months.

I've never paid a cancellation fee or deposit but then again I can't remember the last time I cancelled or booked more than an hour. I have been cancelled on but I've always have had plan B, C, D , E....when I'm in go mode, I can't just say "oh well, I'll go home", that's not happening.:biggrin2:
