Does he look like the *average Joe? Well, that is also interesting, since that is your determination and view point and not everyone's. Since many may find your appearance to be average, others, mine and not his, etc. Average is at best, subjective, and inderterminable, since we all see things differently, yet it can also be construed as demeaning when used to compare one to another or to describe a person. I would not book a lady that required a deposit. She would lose more business in requesting a deposit than she would avoid losing, monetarily, in demanding the deposit in the first place.

If that were the case, no one would continue to ask for deposits, or be successful in business, would they?
Hotels aren't going out of business because they collect deposits, are they?

No one is saying they make more money, but they obviously make what they consider to be enough, and that's all that matters. I still maintain that SP's don't lose money if they ask for deposits.
I doubt we'll hear from many SP's who do collect deposits, because they're all busy entertaining their clients instead of posting on escort review boards.

Your statement isn't one imo, that is welcoming to others, nor complimentary to HUBGFE. But I have to admit not liking the implication from Lori that the time spent here is wasted...
Work is nice but play is too and reading and occasionally writing is a well needed break...
I meet once or twice a month (it is not how I make a living) so still have time to play and read on my new favourite site...
And no I do not ask for a cancellation fee,I just refuse to see you after if you do not make the effort of cancelling ,like the guy who booked me last week for this Tuesday at 10h and never bothered writing to cancel,he just goes in my ''lapin'' folder.

I can honestly say that in all the years I've been doing this I've only cancelled on a client once because a girlfriend had an emergency and needed me to watch her son after school. I however have been cancelled on countless times, including today by a new client.
The implication that there may be something wrong with me or my business practices is ludicrous. I find that reviews/honourable mentions bring a lot of time wasters out of the woods. Also, we live in a day and age where common courtesy isn't practised as much and it's deemed acceptable to cancel last minute. This is why I'm going to start asking for references/handles and in lieu of that work info. on my new site's booking form. I don't like being intrusive but need to start protecting myself as I'll be working from my home. If a potential client can't understand my need for safety, that's "too bad so sad".
As for a cancellation fee, I'm with others here in that I simply put a multiple canceller on a "do not book" (DNB) basis. I was once offered a cancellation fee from a multi canceller and accepted. Thankfully he showed and anted up!

I'm very grateful for our forums too. After I quit working for an Agency, I worked for 5 years as an Indy without having anyone to talk to about the business or stuff that happened with my clients, because I worked at home alone and never had any contact with other SP's, just my clients.

The forum made a huge difference and now since I join the Indycompanion collective it is so different,never alone,I honestly think that if it was not of that reseau I would have stop escorting...now of course for me it is a aside but being able to share worries and questions is priceless.
