Creepy and dangerous toys

holy crap, they actually included uranium and radium in those kits??? FUUUUCKKKKKKK and that magic crystal ray gun? LOL and here I thought CLACKERS were pretty dangerous......

and I had a 6th finger....not sure where it is now but I bet my parents still have it somewhere....(they never throw anything out).

^^^ that's just it, they weren't. They really didn't know just how dangerous the shit is.....

Back in the day, they were very naive about a lot of things....a prime example is prohibition.....that basically invented organized crime. If they hadn't, the world would be a much different place today.

^^^ you have to wonder with the way they handled toxic waste, stuff like the above, etc, is that why so many have cancers? Do you think the next generation will have less due to our tighter regulations on disposal of waste etc?

I got into it with someone recently how they said in the "good old days" they walked everywhere, etc. I pointed out that while that was true, they also dumped toxins such as PCBs right into the source of drinking water. Not to mention the pulp and paper industry that dumped their waste right into the st lawrence.....or ground so contaminated that they won't allow anyone to build on it.....leaking furnace oil storage tanks....you name it....

And don't even get me started on Doctors prescribing cigarettes to pregnant women....to "calm them down"......

^^^ I hate to break it to you: but dentists still use cocaine to this day....

It only became popular and a recreational drug when the US government discovered people could get high off it......just like weed. That was only made illegal when mexicans brought it over and used it like other people use alcohol.

I remember having my feet x-rayed every time i was in a shoe shore...we thought it was so cool! The level of radiation was stronger than 10 years of dental x-rays..it's amazing Boomers like me even survived.
