Attempted to book 3 indies over this past week. One wanted my real info via linkden/facebook or photo of driver's license (pass), one didn't reply back so too late now (pass) and the other asked for a deposit for an hour appointment (pass).

Is it just my bad luck or are many of the ladies becoming unpleasant to deal with when trying to book a simple one hour appointment?

Naming them isn't going to accomplish anything. If a lady's fee or business practice doesn't meet your style of engagement just move on. It's a free world for both buyer and seller so let the market do what the market does and desired business volume will usually dictate policy with any business.

Considering these women didn't do anything other than attempt to run their business how they see fit, I agree. Why name them other than to try and shame them for their choice of screening. OP did well not naming them and I believe him without the names.

To everyone else, I get that screening for indies is on the rise. Sadly, I think part of that is because negative behaviours from clients are on the rise, but I also think that more women are learning that they can keep some control over what they feel comfortable with. A lot more women feel more confident about themselves and are not willing to see just anyone anymore. I know I am not afraid of being labelled out for declining a client.

So many men seem to be of the opinion that because they have money and woman is willing to get paid for sex, that automatically means he can see her. That is simply not the case anymore. Not for many indies anyway. I don't take clients I would not have fun with personally without the payment. I just won't. I am all for equal enjoyment and equal comfortability.

If my screening is too much for a gentleman, I have no problem referring a lady similar to me who requires less. I am helpful and respectful like that. I just wish that more men who are not willing to be screened would be equally respectful of my choice to screen. If she is not compatible with you, then move on politely. The complaining is getting a little annoying if I am being honest. However, that may be due to the fact that more and more complaining type threads have been popping up. There is already a screening thread that was combined with another screening thread and now we have a third in the lounge in a matter of a week or two. Not to mention all the threads on the others boards about it.

I guess I should not be surprised. Men complained heavily about BBBJ vrs CBJ a few years back. I guess screening needs its turn in the mud.

If I can give any advice to men, READ ads and websites, READ all the screening details {too many men see a list and think all are required. Most often it is a list of screening options, where you only need to pick one}, and if certain things are a deal breaker for you, move on. Just like you would if you read the service list and there was a service that was not available. I don't think you would come here and complain that so-n-so doesn't do DFK and that is what you want. Most just move on. I wish that would be applied in these cases regarding screening.
