Do you give change to the homeless?

Whenever i get to go for groceries there is this homeless guy playing his Harmonica. Little dog with him, staring at me with these sad watery eyes. I cant help but throw in some money every single time, and he off course wishes me all the best and health and whatever.



Any of you suckering for this too? Or is it just because im not used to 100s of them on every corner.

Unfortunately pops some people are unemployable, ask yourself if you would hire him for your company if you were an employer?

I recently gave a homeless chap some change who was standing outside where I was going to eat.After abou 10min.I saw him enter and I thought "Good he got enough for a meal' Didnt happen , he bought a beer and downed it in about 10 seconds and went back outside to collect for his next beer I guess.

Unfortunately pops some people are unemployable, ask yourself if you would hire him for your company if you were an employer?

I once offered a dude a coffee and he told to me to fuck-off, another time I offered one a Big Mac and he looked at me and thanked me but said if i can still spare a toonie, I gave him the 2 bucks because he thanked me for the Big Mac.

I do, SweetMary, because I believe giving comes back tenfold. Perhaps not directly from the homeless gent who receives my toonie, but in other ways.

I may be the luckiest guy I know. My life has been incredibly enriched by other people. I do not consider myself wealthy (few artists are), but I enjoy a wealth of friendship.

Nor do I anticipate ever being in the position of that panhandler on the street, but should circumstance ever bring me to that sad position, I trust someone else out there will toss me that toonie or buy me that Big Mac, or for that matter, a beer.

I am a charitable guy. Food banks, Diabetes association, Cancer research, Heart & Stroke foundation, as well as sick kids and Salvation Army...

My problem with "beggars" on the street are you never know who they are....
