Has anyone else heard about this story?
Dog in suitcase found in ravine by joggers in Etobicoke.
Looks like it is a Jack Russel cross but I may be wrong on this.
How or why would anyone subject this poor animal to such a terrible thing.
Police are evidently looking at surrounding security video and asking for the public's help!
I really hope they find out who did this but with the way our judges are he they will probably get a slap on the wrist for this.

Alas, animal cruelty is treated lightly. Except by the animals in question.

You are so very right on this og!
I am an animal lover and I just can't imagine what would drive someone to partake in this act on an animal of any description.
Animals can't speak and they really are not represented or taken seriously by our judicial system.
But I can say that I have read a fair bit about mass murderers, rapist, child molesters and the lot.
Early in the childhood years it appears that animal cruelty is at the start of the problem in some of these cases.
Perhaps the judges and shrinks may want to take a closer look at them and the repercussions that can happen before they willy nilly let them free.

All of the known serial killers all started out torturing animals before their first human murders....anyone who can be this malicious to a dog, imo, has the ability to do the same to a human. As such, the crime should be treated with the same seriousness that a human murder/torture would be and be given as harsh a punishment ..

Agreed.

ANYBODY documented committing animal cruelty to ANY kind of animal, should have that added to all criminal data bases.

Probably start a war here, but anybody who enjoys killing an unknowing, defenseless animal for "fun", by what ever means, should be included in all criminal data bases also.

Shit happens
An unnecessary, tasteless, ignorant and unfeeling comment Papa!!
A necropsy should determine the cause of death and with that perhaps who's at fault. I know a family with 3 commercial pilots, none of which would ever put their dogs in cargo. Imo, if you do, it's a roll of the dice that your pet will reach it's destination alive.I'm so sorry for that poor dog and for it's owners.....

^^ cute post.... thanks for the smile and for being the one to lighten the mood of this thread (y) ;)
