Doug Ford is awesome

Can anybody explain to me,... why Scarborough needs 10 councillors,... ???

And for the looney left to state that reducing the number of councillors, means Toronto council won't be democratic,... fricken idiot looney left.

There is nothing good about the existing, so called, Toronto council democracy, if NOTHING gets accomplished, except wasting $25 million.

Now this waste of tax payers money to fight the government of Ontario, will once again highlight just why the Ford Conservatives won.

The jerk councillors who voted to fight the government of Ontario, are only confirming they are leaches looking after themselves, feeding at the tax tit.

IMHO, some councillors are just afraid of losing their "cushy" jobs. It will be interesting to see what the courts, have to say about this??

Councillors are politicians, nothing more needs to be said on that subject.

I can't even fathom what the tax leach politicians would take the Ontario government to court for, " that's not fair", or maybe, "I'll have to find a real job", or "I don't like Ford" ?

Will be interesting.

And seems the Toronto council is famous for being dysfunctional, not surprised though.

Well said. :YMAPPLAUSE:

Greedy, arrogant, unknowledgeable, untrained teachers, and dopers getting their fix in a park, yep, great company.

Hint, OPS, is not the same as OPP, read, and ye shall learn,... or is it OOPS.

Let them pay for sites with their own money then. No problem. That is fine.

And the teachers will lose if they try to battle this, just like the counsellors are going to lose in court. Which, for the latter, is just another bunch of wasted taxpayers money.

^

Problem is, teachers, like a lot of civil servants, don't believe they have anybody to answer to, they don't have a boss, and their union leaders don't count.

Do what the hell you are told, or get out if you don't like it, but the problem they have there is, who the hell would hire an ex teacher, "you mean I don't get to choose what I do with my time during the 5 1/2 hours I'm at my place of employment, and I don't get summer off while getting paid $90,000 per year ???"

This is just simply more childish anti Conservative government bull shit, they really set a good example for the students,... NOT.

And the voting public obviously saw this, when they voted the Fiberals out.

Good on Doug.

Some obviously biased, previously a lawyer idiot decides bill 5 is wrong, because it interferes with the peoples,... "freedom of expression rights",... :LMAO:

How can anybody take that seriously, once again, is there a check box on the application to become a judge,... "Are you an idiot",... and you must check,..."Yes".

Every other legal expert who commented on the judges "decision", stated that the judges ruling, was basically not applicable.

Except of coarse for the also obviously biased Socialists "expert" response,...

"Craig Scott, a former NDP MP who now teaches law at York University’s Osgoode Hall, has argued for weeks that the Better Local Government Act was unconstitutional. Scott called Belobaba’s reasoning "eloquently developed",... :LMAO:

I honestly cannot believe That judge came back with the decision that he did. I think 100% Ford is right to invoke the notwithstanding clause because there is absolutely no legitimate charter of rights infringement.

Not only that but that they were suing based on freedom of expression. You're politicians!!!! you can still express yourself all you want, there's just not going to be 47 seats for it. you have to fight for the 25 that are now available.

But hey the judge didn't even make his ruling on that clause of the charter. Instead he decided to make a judgement based on another one that the city counellors weren't even fighting.

Ford will win but the reasoning and objective was to save money for the city. I cannot see this coming for at least 5 years or so. The legal fees will eat all of the savings he is talking about.

Sets the tone,...

Agreed.

But the legal fees are being wasted by a bunch of political leaches, not by Ford.

Also, from what I read from another legal beagle, he could have just waited and reintroduced bill 5 after the election, and nobody could have done anything about it.

People are saying he is going ovecommunity by using the not withstanding clause, but if you end up having to deal with the trash he has to put up with, strong measures are needed, besides, lets everybody know he intends to actually run the province for the benefit of the population,... NOT politicians, and socialists.

What the obviously biased, previously a lawyer idiot used as an "judgment" ,... taking the "freedom of expression rights" away from the voting population, warranted a strong response to stupidity.

No big deal but appointing his family friend as head of the OPP is a Trumpilian move.

No big deal, ???,... this is just another example of Toronto council being completely irresponsible.

Think about this, lets assume $40k as a salary for some unemployed loser, that means a councilor needs to hirer 12 MORE "assistants" on top of their original staff,... :LMAO:

Looks like his buddy is in.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says Ron Taverner will take command of OPP after integrity probe | National Post

I voted for Doug Ford and overall I think so far he's doing a marvelous job but attempting to push Ron Taverner in is a misstep solely based on optics.
